Nice Video. My parents live in Torrevieja, it is a nice place. This year we aren’t in Torrevieja to make hollidays . The corona virus was a problem. Have good time there.

Thank you so much, We love Torrevieja and think it’s a great location and base for exploring the rest of the Costa Blanca South. It’s good for the bikes and walking because it’s quite flat. Hi Brian, If you mean what is the most cost-effective way of stopping for 3 months in Torrevieja, I would say rent a place for the duration. You can rent a room for less than €200 per month or an apartment for around €350 per month. Cheers Scott, I got the socks out the bin when she wasn’t looking, safely back in my drawer now. Yes the bridge is one of the scariest crossings on the bikes. There really isn’t any alternative to get to the market for us without going into town and that bridge isn’t much safer if any. We did get one garlic but we couldn’t find the pink stuff. Anyway hoping the small of garlic will overcome the stench of my socks.....lol

Ey up! Love your videos. We're hoping to spend months in Spain - maybe near where you are, in retirement. Have you bought, or are you renting? Any advice on that situation (lots to consider, I know that - but just a personal view would be interesting). Ta.

Hi Glen, we are still UK residents but spend lots of time here in Spain. We bought a property here three years ago after researching and visiting several estate agents etc. We decided on our area of Altos del Limonar as we believe location is the key. We think where we are is central to lots of great places for us to get to especially on our bikes. We are near all the British expat places like El Chaperal, St Luis, Torretas, Ciudad Quesada yet we can still easily reach Torrevieja town and beach. It's all within 2 or 3 miles. I think everyone is different and you should come over and spend time in different ares to see which you like best. Watching "A Place in the Sun" helps to see different places but there's no substitution for being here yourself to feel what it's like.Thanks for watching and commenting, all the best, Mike & Yvonne.

@@BetweenTheLakes Absolutely. Our plan would be to rent for a few months - maybe do a few trips out and stay in different places at different times of the year, then go from there. We watch all the Spanish Place in the Suns.. and I like looking at available properties, google street walking areas etc. Your red line route indicator for your bike trips is great for that - gives a nice idea of the ease or otherwise of getting to different places.
