The disadvantages of a rear hub motor is that you need a spanner to change the inner tube when you get a puncture plus the wheel is quite heavy. This bike is also known for the motor cutting out intermittently.

I have the same bike after 2 years and like 2000km + i'll have to say the battery range became less can last long for like 40-50km (not mile, in sport mode) in cold conditions and i used to have a punctured tire very often. I lived in Bedford. If the battery runs out u guys gonna DIE because it's extremely hard to ride on that bike if there is no any assist.

Today I managed 45 miles but that was mostly in eco mode and sometimes i would turn off the motor and pedal when the terrain allowed for it. I'm going to buy another battery in a few weeks for around £400 as the potential to earn £150+ a day is definitely doable in my local area (derby)

I am waiting for my Lombardi Roma 9.0 € 2700 e-bike, in three months I will get it. Currently in Italy all stocks are empty of all brands because everybody gets a bonus if they buy a bike. However the rear motor is the less efficient. I have one e-bike now with a front motor, which is still not the best, my future bike will have a middle Bosch motor.

£500 conversion kit on a £200 bike, sold for £1200, had one for almost a year and poor maintenance and repairs on Halfords part meant I had to keep coming back to get it fixed. Had it for a year and six months of that was sending it back to do repairs on things they improperly put together. Any money I made on Uber eats I spent on keeping the bike serviced

The trouble with Uber Eats cyclists getting an electric bike to up their earnings by allowing them to do more, is that everyone else will start doing it. You have to finance your own bike, and those that can't or don't want to, cannot then compete. Uber can easily lower pay if you are doing well, so all that happens is there is now a barrier to entry (an electric bike), and everyone with an electric bike is competing on a level playing field against each other again.

Is that bag really thermally lined? Also some restaurants won't allow you to take food out, unless you have a thermal bag with you. You can't say a particular electric bike can do the job. For example I live in a very/hilly windy town, and struggle to get six trips. sometimes eight (nearly all deliveries are up steep hills). So battery capacity is key and its that item that costs the money. Currently I have a 15Ah battery, but ideally need 20 Ah and/or maybe a spare battery (or even bike)!

This bike is great until it isn't. Started having problems with mine 6 months in. All the electrical components besides the battery have been replaced twice and it is already having problems again. Apparently it's not designed for rainy weather or even mild bumps in the road. Not great when you live in the UK.

@@SebastianTrii you have to consider the many different factors, travelling to the zone itself, travelling to the restaurant (which you don't get paid for), sometimes you might have to do a bit of back tracking to the zone that you prefer to work in, and the journey home can be from the opposite side of the city with the way uber works. 10 miles is literally 3 jobs max! with no booster you'd be lucky to make minimum wage.

Lol I have 2300+ trips (since February 2019) and if I did 10 miles or less a day, I wouldn't be able to keep this going. I make at least 70-80 trips a week and on a conventional bike, I'm doing 20+ miles a day I ride here in Florida. My other bike is electric and it costs more to keep maintained than it is to run for Uber. Save up your coin guys
