I will be doing this ride soon.....I'm curious how you got from the end in Brevard to Asheville at the end.....was there a shuttle service you used? Thanks!

We went off route after getting to Ashville. We continued to west out of our way to Hot Springs, NC. We then headed east up 276 to the Blue Ridge Parkway and continued down it North into Asheville again. So we ended up doing the last bit of the route in reverse cutting out going to Brevard. It worked for us, but I wouldn't quite recommend it. I'd try and stay on the RidewithGPS route

What would you recommend for tire size on this one?
@JohnBr05 жыл бұрын
Soren Brockdorf it was 50/50 gravel/road. I was happy on 650bx47. The other guys were also happy on 700c x 38s. Expect a lot of gravel climbing and descending 🙂

Two of us ran 700x38c while the other two ran 650x47c. The gravel was compact enough the climbing with 38c is not a problem, but as for descents the 47c were the better choice. Way more confidence with traction.

This is so great! My girlfriends and I are going to do this in September! 1 question - how did you get from Brevard to Morganton at the end? Thanks, Kelly
@JohnBr05 жыл бұрын
Mrsmm5966 we hired a van for a day to get there and then a day to get back - so we didn’t have to go back to Morganton at the end. We were able to pickup a van for the drive home at Asheville airport. Have an awesome time! Extended version of this movie coming soon 😉
