Bikepacking in Canal du Midi: From Toulouse to the sea

Bikepacking trip in Canal du Midi, from the 3rd to the 6th of June 2022. We did the ~230 Km between Toulouse and Sète (Occitanie, France), passing by Carcassonne, Béziers, Agde and many other beautiful cities of the region! We also found an incredible wild camping spot in the shore of a huge lake, found an abandoned castle and could witness the smooth transitions between the very different landscapes the famous French canal offers.

Recorded with a combination of Akaso V50X action camera and Poco X3 Pro smartphone. Edited with Kdenlive. I kept actively trying to get different perspectives of the camera, this time using a selfie stick to be able to record from different POVs while cycling. It was the first time I used animated location icons (and not just text) to tell where we were at each moment of the video. I started thinking more about storytelling and not only about putting together all the decent clips I recorded. My intention was to show how the Canal du Midi progressively changes from Toulouse until the Mediterranean.
