Enjoyed this, even if 40mph downhills are not my idea of fun (had to watch through one eye, squinting) 🤣 Thanks for sharing, excellent 👍🏻

That was epic. Really enjoyed watching you rattling along the trail. I kept thinking the wahoo was going to fly off! Lovely scenery and no music - which can overpower some videos. Thank you for taking the time to film this. Looking forward to more...

Rattling is a very good way of describing how some of them trails feel 😂 Glad you enjoyed 😊

Did this two weeks ago. That des ent at 27.02 was so sketchy in the wet. Wheels locked up and skidding down. Great loop and adventure. Well done 👍

Fair play mate, I done it over 4 days around the same time. I'm not a cyclist and bust my ribs up pretty bad on day 2. Wouldn't want to do anymore miles (would prefer half) a day than we done
@KeepSmilingAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Gutted mate hope you heeled up ok. Ive actually done this ride in one go as well now, that was a long day 😂
@Nobby772 жыл бұрын
@@KeepSmilingAdventures managed to complete it mate. Knocking it out in one day is lunacy lol.

Wow, you did it! Good on you dude. That bit before the SDW looks a bit hairy.... i'm supposed to be doing that with panniers!! might have to strap them on :-) Looks like an epic ride.... inspired me to get on my bike and get it done!!

Their is certainly some bone rattling sections, the bigger the tyre the better. Good luck with your ride mark, enjoy it

Awesome stuff, well done. Really useful for me as I'm planning to give this a try later in the year (or maybe next spring CV19 depending). I've ridden probably 30% of this on various days, but never all of it in one go. Will be 5/6 days for me I expect as I ride an electric fat bike (Range anxiety). You're right about that fast hill down to QE park though. Much better the other way. :)
@KeepSmilingAdventures3 жыл бұрын
ahh nice man hope you will get to do it soon. The good thing with this route is the hills are not to ridiculous (well most of them) so even if you do run out of battery you should still be able to ride most things. I discovered that hill riding the south downs a few weeks before and it was epic, i thought i was going crash at one point though it was so fast

I rode the South Downs Way a couple of years ago and got to about 30 at one point down the hill. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZvcnImunZdrnac

Thanks for the follow up 👍. I’ve decided I’m going with the hard tail 29er over my gravel bike. Do you think it’s a route that will get overgrown with weeds or were the trails pretty wide and clear?
@KeepSmilingAdventures3 жыл бұрын
I think a 29er with some fast rolling tyres would be a good option there are a few road sections. Most of this ride is pretty well clear, only one section i recall being quite over grown but it was still ridable and not really that long.

Great video! I’m doing K.A.W in a couple of weeks on a gravel bike. What sized tyres did you have? I’m toying up 40mm or 44mm. Thanks
@KeepSmilingAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, i had 43mm tyres and they were fine. To be honest most of the KAW Isn't that rough so either of those tyres would be fine. If its looking like its going to be wet though bigger the better. Enjoy

6:18 If there is anything I have learned from Minecraft, you should be fine as long as you don't show the cows Wheat. 🤣🚲👍🏾
