I recognise the intro song. As good as I video gets, I can't watch more than a few minutes to avoid spoilers since I'll go there end of the year myself ;) I've watched the other (very well done) videos of yours and hit you up on Instagram. Thanks for putting these out. I'm using resources from your website for my research now and will perhaps watch the video when I am back from NZ next year :) Cheers.

Dear TheOne, I plan to cycle across the New Zealand next year. So I am very exciting with your videos. Could you please send me some tips, advices, maps...so that I can use them to make a cycling plan for my journey. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Best regards.

Sounds awesome... 😎 Here's a video which also has a Part 2 explaining my advice for bikepacking in NZ. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWOTnIGFiq2sm6s For the maps I have them on my website you just have to simply zoom in on NZ to see the map in detail and it can be loaded onto almost any phone with Google Maps. www.theonegoodroad.com/p/travel-map.html Good luck! 👍🏻

Fantastic to see, and well documented. I’ll be cycling the TA in a months time. Your setup looked quite light, especially considering you had a laptop. Have you written something about your gear list, and carriage on the bike?
@TheOneGoodRoad5 ай бұрын
Thanks 🙏 I don't have a gear list but I do have several videos showing the various gear I brought with me. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaXQo3drn9yZpKcsi=21Ib4y93UFyqEfgB

This is a great find on youtube, so thank you for posting. I'm heading out from the UK on 31 December 2019 to kind of do the same, I have three months planned. I do have a question on getting to Cape Reinga from Auckland, did you have to ride up there? Are there transport options to get there to begin the journey south? Don't really fancy riding up to just ride back; I guess I could do different routes. Looking forward to Part 2. Thank you
@TheOneGoodRoad5 жыл бұрын
Yeah glad you enjoyed the video, Part 2 takes time to edit as I make this videos in my spare time. For getting up to Cape Reinga I hitched a lift with these couch surfers I was staying with, so hitching is an option or bus get you up there. Or ride up and ride around Northland back down. :)

How many punctures did you get? And would you recommend some sort of puncture resistant tyres?
