Right… this one may be a better solution as it’s less known. But still, the phone comes of at the click of a button!

@@tristanbogaard yeah easy to take off my mate got his ripped of in South Africa on his first day touring and got locked out of his google KZbin account he was never able to recover the account as he had a old sim for recovery and couldn’t get it back

I have been using Quadlock for years, to support an Australian company, but these look very cool.

This looks like a solid break-proof mount. Can't stress enough how important that is. I had a plastic phone mount that looked sturdy, but after it broke (nearly killing me as the phone fell in the front wheel) it turned out that only one of the four studs connecting front and back had received a drop of glue ... (unrelated: why even have a Wahoo if you still need a phone ... ?)
@tristanbogaard6 ай бұрын
Glad you’re ok after that…! The wahoo is used for navigation only so that my phone doesn’t have to do that. Saves me from charging the battery all the time!

Thanks mate. I decided to stick with my original PD bike mount. From looking at the frequency dampers in the motorbike one I was unconvinced it added anything for me. If they create one with different frequency modulation I can look again. Great video as always

Do you need to push the button w one hand and take the phone off with the other? Can you easily take your phone off with one hand? Thank you for your informative videos.
@tristanbogaard2 ай бұрын
Couldn’t be easier in my opinion! It’s a great one handed system that always works. You can also take off the pad and reinstall it 90 degrees turned so that the side buttons become top & bottom in case you prefer to click your phone in landscape mode without losing one hand operation. Real handy!

Tristan what is your new bike ?
@tristanbogaard6 ай бұрын
It’s not my new bike, just an L sized Outback I got to borrow for a bikepacking trip with my brother (who borrowed my XL size). A favor from Tout Terrain!

I'm probably the only one having this problem since people seem to love magnetic mounts, but i had a magnetic one and it messed with my phone's internal GPS making impossible to use the maps. Had to discard it for a physical mount
@tristanbogaard2 ай бұрын
Weird, that’s something I haven’t heard from anyone. Been using my phone on it for a year now (new phone) and it hasn’t had any issues. Maybe it’s the model or make of the phone?
@alessandromarazzi6222 ай бұрын
@@tristanbogaard the mount is not the specific one you're talking about here, it's another magnetic one from an italian brand. The phone is an Iphone Xr.... I have no idea what's the issue here but, I wouldn't recommend magnetic mounts to people generally

Takes some capital to run a company that stands for lifetime warranty, awesome design and fair payments to everyone in the supply chain. The outcome is actually a reasonable price considering all that. Unless you’re used to cheap products without much warranty made by underpaid factory workers…

Helaas niet 😉 Dit was een L model van de Tout Terrain Outback, die hadden ze me opgestuurd voor een project met m’n broertje. Helaas ging die nou net niet door dus heb ik de uitleg uit de video gelaten.

I see that they are made in china and now you can buy close to identical online For £8 I have no idea why they charge so much for this product. When the clone version comes with the vibration dampener i will just buy that for £10
@tristanbogaard5 ай бұрын
Look into how PD functions as a company. It’ll tell you why they charge what they charge. Also, good luck on claiming any lifetime warranty on that £8 piece!

Why would you put your phone on a mount that makes it wet? dampen /ˈdamp(ə)n/ verb 1. make slightly wet. "the fine rain dampened her face" I think you mean damper.

Hahaha. I guess I made it obvious my mother tongue is NOT English 😂
