Bikerafting Adventure On The River Blyth!
Join myself and @simonablokeinthewoods for a really great trip bikerafting in the @AlpackaRaft Caribou.
Starting out at Halesworth, Suffolk, we pedal to Blyford and turn our mode of transport to paddles.
Setting up the Alpacka Caribou's we enter the river where it is still very small and head downstream with the tide and wind with us until the river opens up into the estuary of Blythburgh.
Lunch in Southwold at the Sole Bay fish company and bike through the town to spend the night on the beach.
Packrafting is a great way to open the doors to adventure and with a packraft you can explore places that are hard to get to.
Not all packrafts are designed for bikerafting so please, if you want to try this sport then make sure you purchase a packraft made to carry a bike, like the Alpacka Caribou or the GP Cargo.

Yeah, that was a fun one. Looked like great birding. Simon is a good guy to have along, always cheerful. I'm surprised they didn't try to rebuild some levees after the big flood.

Great trip and well documented. Regarding the onetigris: In Amazon reviews people complaint that it is not rain proof and the floor is too thin and leaking. have you experienced the same so far? Thanks!

I use a piece of tyvek underneath as a groundsheet. As for its hydrostatic head I’ve never experienced it leaking but I haven’t used it in a complete downpour.
