I found this channel because of the Desmosedici restoration and I'm glad I did! This review is awesome as are Chris's bike control skills. And how rare is it to find someone who can ride like an absolute loon but is articulate enough to let us know exactly how the bike feels while doing so? The excellent camera work is the cherry on the cake - I can imagine this footage as part of an Indian promo. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the next Desmosedici episode.

FINALLY. A proper test with a proper rider and an accurate review! Thumbs up to Bike World... I was forced to eat my words. I loved the concept bike and (I thought) I hated the production version util I reluctantly visited an Indian dealership to confirm my preconceived impressions of the spec sheets and photo's. Ive never been so wrong about a bike. The dealer threw me the lure and I was off.... 2 minutes into the test ride and I'm now financially poorer with an FTR 1200 of my own. Bike should come with a WARNING: Test rides may cause a spontaneous purchase

This is the first video I've seen you this channel, and I immediately subscribed. My background is in the dirt, and the FTR will be my next bike purchase. So this review was custom tailored for me. Upgrade number one will have to be protection for the radiator, both from spills and debris kicked up by the front tire. Indian makes radiator guards, not sure how well they work. Same for the rally collection front and rear fenders.

Bike World: Do you feel the bike had the tendency to slide even on wet pavement (of course it will slide on dirt) because of the tire type or because of the instant torque? I'm curious to see the bike ridden with a proper set of grippy street tires. Kick ass review thanks!

Amazing when it's warmed up but really not good when it's cold. It sounds like a bag of spanners being dropped off a roof. It's also prone to stalling when it is cold. PERFECT review, any bike can get you a cup of coffee! There's a lot to like about this bike. Performance is distinctive, capable... fun. Looks wise it's again unique and carves out a niche for itself - but it ALSO has some very nice Ducati'esqe design points (which as a Ducati guy I find very appealing). I particularly like the trick lower trellis tube arch. These days as Ducati move away from trellis frame bikes I'm very happy to see Indian deliver such a fine looking example. I've always said that North American brands need a niche to break into more performance oriented areas of motorcycling - and flat track racing has a great heritage that gives them plenty of advertising material for capable bikes.

Harley Davidson has lobbied the AMA since about 1960 to handicap all other Brands in Flat Track racing.. I think it was about 2014 the AMA made some rule changes to keep the cost of race bikes down .. Inidan took advantage of the new Rules and made Harleys look antiquidated like they are.. Truth his the XR-750's were not really capable of winning mile races even before the Indian .. Kawasak 650 Ninja based bikes were winning the last few years.
