11 in a row!! Amazing I did it twice in the early 1990s and I cratered both times after the third pass. Great riding area. And going down hill in thin air is the fastest I've ever been on a bike. Nice history and background. I thought they changed the name a while back. Thanks

Impressed that you do it every year. I rode it once in 2006 and made all 5 passes, but the crowds, the chaos, and the logistics of finding reasonably close lodging were not to my liking. Not sure if they still do, but back in 2006 the ride was so popular that the organizers needed to hold a lottery to pare down the number of riders to the max of I believe 3,000 riders. What that one ride did do however was introduce me to the great cycling in that area, and I have been back many times since then to ride on those great cycling roads, alone and without the crowds or the chaos. It's great that the organizers close Ebbetts and Monitor to car traffic, but my experience is that the traffic has been minimal and no issue whatsoever on my solitary rides.

I've done the ride 4 times and finished all five passes three times, I can't imagine doing it 11 times! When did they drop Carson Pass from the route? Great video and pics of the ride! I guess 2023 was a banner year for snow, hence the green hillsides.

Wow, Terry, what a great video! Thank you so much for sharing not only a bit about the ride but about the history and geography of the area as well. And, what a feat: being a Deathrider 11 years in a row! Congrats on another finish and I'll see you next year. Hopefully my voice won't be cracking. ;-) So appreciative...Mark
