On this trip I rode my bike from the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook & Trailhead, around Clay Island, along the shore of Lake Apopka, to the Historic Pump House. I then returned via the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive to the North Shore Trailhead before climbing back up the hill to my van. I stopped at all the towers I could find. There was the Lakeside Tower, Flow-Way Tower, and the two towers in Jimmy's Crossing. The trip was over 30 miles total.
It started off very overcast. Then once the sun came out the wind picked up. My audio suffered quite a bit at that point so I've added some soft music in the second half of the video.
There loads of gators to be found, a few types of turtles, and some fish. The variety of birds was very nice as well. Some more rare than others. I didn't find any snakes this trip but there was the occasional insect worth filming, as well as armadillos, squirrel, and rabbit.
This trip took place on a Tuesday so no cars will be seen. They're not allowed. Just hikers and bikers.
Let's see if I can list all the birds I found.
