Biking the San Antonio Riverwalk Missions Trail (even if you don’t own a bike)

We didn’t bring our bikes on our trip to Texas, but we were still able to cycle the Riverwalk Missions Trail in San Antonio by using the BCycle program. The Riverwalk Missions Trail is a 14 mile round trip path that connects four of the five historic missions along the San Antonio river. Together, they make up the only UNESCO World Heritage site in the state of Texas and is one of the state’s most visited attractions.
The BCycle program is a bike-share network of e-bikes located all over the city of San Antonio. We found a station at every mission site, making it really easy for us to explore for the day.

We were there early February and biked to all the missions on the Riverwalk Trail. Excellent! We were at the camp you pointed out. And we had our bikes so we were all over the Riverwalk often. It was great.

That campground is perfectly located for accessing the Riverwalk and being able to bike into downtown even!

I’m so glad you enjoyed it ! I’m a San Antonio native and love using The Mission Trails ! They’re so convenient and fun fact the separated creek trails are 115+ miles long with plans to keep increasing it yearly ! You have to come back and visit The Pearl !
