I think you should go for a Toyota Land Cruiser, HiLux or an Isuzu Dmax or MUX kuya will, those above mentioned units are commonly used rigs in australia for overlanding then build your way up for the jeeps or the defenders. Just an honest opinion

Sir Wil, since you're into podcast and want to have a new car that you can live at the same time work anywhere, I recommend you get a Toyota Hilux and the offroad trailer. The car is budget friendly for travel also if you do camping with ninong ry and other KZbinrs who would like to be a guest on your podcast. Then, you can do the podcast at the trailer. More comfortable doing podcast and it's also minimalist which suits your personality and your tools like the cameras will be surely safe during travel too.
