At his core, Mike is just like us. There are only 2 kinds of people on this Earth. Those who are willing to walk away and those who are willing to be carted away. Make whatever variation of that statement that you'd like for it to fit your life but thats the simplest terms. The ones that are truly terrifying while also being some of the most awe inspiring people to ever walk this planet are those who may be outmatched physically but have mastered themselves mentally so well that they can override that natural instinct to preserve their life and will give it ALL up to prove a point. " I AM THE GREATEST." Ali said that because he took the throne by force and it took the government to take it back in his prime. And he was willing to die everytime he stepped in thay squared circle. 99% of humans aren't. Mike told you right here that he ain't got it in him. That's awe you here but also fear.

The reason it makes him emotional is Ali inspired mike to become a fighter and where he is now and the person he is now

Nah brotha he understands that Ali died because the damage he took and if Ali never took the damage you wouldn’t know who he was. Ali traded his life to be the great and there’s honor in that and mike knows it. Society loves Ali but fails to talk about this and mike sees it clearly. Mike is pretty smart but has a hard time expressing it and maybe that is a bit of the same fate mike will be facing like Ali did like all boxers do.
