Voynich Code Looks like a mixed bag really. On March 31 he traded nine stocks. Six of those are as of today negative. I was shocked to discover he sold 1.1M in Chipotle. So no covering his 'short' position I think. He then bought his favourite stocks shortly after offloading his CDSs at the market bottom

He's like the guy on Stock Twits who cheers his bet and trolls everything against it, but he buys his soapbox, tries to manpulate politicians and the justice system to support his bets, and uses the media. His disengenuous crying and concern for the American public about Covid on CNBC recently for 30 minutes, never disclosing his position, is a good example. That's why he's so hated on Wall Street.

Ackman is an incredibly shrewd fund manager. That's the reason he was able to make this bet and move with conviction. At the same time you have to be very careful and listen very closely to what he says and how he says it.

He went in TV telling people that market is going to fall when he had a short position. Two days later he said the market is going up when he had long position .. he got the investors both ways. Market manipulation and a year later he will write a book about how to be successful , he just makes me feel disgusted and I believe that authorities should look into his situation.

steplaland 100x return would be $270k return for you. Keep in mind he would have had to pay a $500M premium to keep his position annually. Luckily he was able to close out within a month. So he probably only paid $40M in premiums.

steplaland Lol 😂. Good question. I believe you need to manage a fund of 5 x the annual premium or 2.5B in assets in this case. Pershing Square assets were worth about $8B. Keep in mind a large portion was his clients money but I imagine he made a 15-20% cut of the 2.6B plus his own cash bet. It’s was an extremely risky move, but since credit default swaps are a dark market he can literally charge any fee he wants.

Pershing is definitely a smaller firm than Lehman, and I didn't want to do something as brazen as asking for a job/internship offer, but some boldness is necessary obviously.
