Theres a later episode where you actually meet lanore and bill really dodged a bullet with her leaving. She was an emotionally abusive wife and you can see why he was so traumatized by her, he just internalized it to being sad about her leaving rather than what she did to him.

25:37 If you missed it Quizzy, there’s an episode where Hank has a trampoline brought over to his home that belonged to Buckley I guess. Point is that Luanne would visit the trampoline at night & Buckleys Angel would appear & have some advice to her. It’s actually kinda wholesome.

If there's one season you should watch in order it's this one. Just the mention of Buckley's angel and all the growth that gave luanne and quizzy just reads it as she hasn't gotten over him. You need this season in order. Season long arc of character growth. KOTH is a special show man.

As weak and pathetic as Bill is most of the time, he's also capable of being incredibly strong, courageous and loyal when he needs to be. For all his faults, there's a reason the guys are friends with him, and you start to see more of his redeeming qualities as the show progresses.

Bill had 8 opportunities to move on and be happy in his life; 1.) Kahn's Mother 2.) Governor Lady who he took blame for Hank mooning during her press conference on the elevator. 3.) The Widower with a son and daughter that actually saw Bill like a father figure. 4.) Officer Chick he confidently asked out to avoid being court marshalled for stealing a tank and his friends from going to jail. 5./6./7.) The three or maybe two been a while since i saw the episode but 1 or 2 of them were just average women affiliated to his family the Deutrives, but the other one was his cousin and we didn't know until Bill's gay cousin revealed her but she was distant enough that it wouldn't of mattered anyways. 8.) The golden ticket opportunity, he and his gay cousin were the last of the Deutrive men of the family and his cousin among the 2 or 3 suitors was the last woman. He had an opportunity with Buck and his friends and neighbors backing him up to sell out and embrace his family's legacy of fine barbecue that Buck wanted to franchise and make Bill famous with his own line of sauces and meats and what not but Bill and his crappy "pride" gave into his cousin Jasper's whims and refused as Jasper himself said it was better to let the family die out and be forgotten in antiquity than to "sell out". He was happy, Bill wasn't and gave in to remain faithful to his last family members. He was 17 or 18 in his days of playing the final game thar Hank was referring to in high school his golden days. He spent a year or two preparing in the military and getting married to Lenore so he was 19 or 20 then not to long after maybe even a year or less at 21 she left him heartbroken leaving him/divorcing, after a single year or 2 at 22 or 23 he still felt worse and worse each year passing thinking Lenore will come back and began drinking... as the years passed accumulating to his current internet claimed age of 42 so he spent from 21 to 42, a whopping 21 years of his life getting fat and drunk depressed over Lenore. Instead of his friends helping him and getting him counseling after the first year or two and the accelerating years following they ultimately failed him refusing to get him professional help or even suggesting it even after all his own suicide attempts and during the 8 opportunities he had instead of Hank his best friend trying to coach him through them to help him avoid messing them up he just let them collapse sure it is his own relationships but mentioning failures to avoid him from making the same errors they just let it be. Ultimately both sides failed each other. TLDR: - Bill had spent 21 years dwelling on a fallen relationship. - He had 8 opportunities to move on that i can remember do correct me and add more if you can find more but he had 8 so far opportunities to have a loving family or make one or simply with Kahn's mom be in a relationship, but he chose to screw himself over by not self reflecting and stopping himself from the same mistakes. - His friends failed to help him by admitting therapy was appropriate for him and getting it for him so he could move on. Even more so, Boomhauer could've helped him the most in his youth Bill was handsome "enough" he got kissed by men (his coach) and they were both straight. - Ultimately he failed himself by not moving on and when he finally did, it didn't last long when Lenore came back seeing him in a favored position with the governor chick.

Bill being miserable is what makes his character so entertaining 😂 that's why the writers keep him unhappy.

24:18 God, I love Luanne. She comes across as ditzy & a bubblehead, but she can be verbally sharp & quick witted when she lets it out. It’s a shame the later seasons did to her what the later seasons of SpongeBob did to him; instead of being childlike naive, they literally have the mind of a child or toddler.
@kayden211910 ай бұрын
People always say this but I just dont see it? Luanne has always been dumb but still somehow "smart" and I feel like that has not changed in late seasons.
@PauloHernandezXD10 ай бұрын
@@kayden2119the later seasons really make her come across like she’s “disabled” or some type of special needs. I’ve said it before but it’s a lot like SpongeBob. He went from having childish tendencies, to having the memory & cognitive abilities as a toddler in the later seasons. Same thing with Luanne, & honestly I dislike the later seasons because, 1: the digital animation gives me a headache, & 2: the characters do become over exaggerated of what they were. And it goes from being kind of silly to…well a cartoon, lol It’s weird to say but the show was kind of grounded in reality early but they become more convoluted. Like Peggy wants to get a hobby & ends up having a knitting business with a bunch of bikers…somehow. Sorry about the rant, it’s early & im hungry :P
@kayden211910 ай бұрын
I just disagree. I have been watching the show for the first time this past year and I think its always been like this. It always tries to make its morals grounded in reality but the story is not always. I mean one of the early episodes is hank losing all his clothes in a tornado. And Luanne is usually played as dumb with a hint of wit every few episodes. I honestly just think people view her character as getting dumber is because she is in much less episodes so the dumb to smart ratio has less to pull from.@@PauloHernandezXD
@PauloHernandezXD10 ай бұрын
@@kayden2119 that’s the benefit of a cartoon that you can be exaggerated with Hanks clothes being ripped off by a tornado. So, idk lol :3 I think most shows can only last so long.

Quizzy, you've got a good heart and your advice is solid, but I'll say one thing: what you don't know about women dealing with breakups is that 99% of the thousand dicks being thrown at us are ones WE DON'T WANT. Creeps, *ssholes, jerks, abusers, manipulators. Many of them are not good options. If that had flown out of the box and hit Hank in the forehead, it would've been the best KOTH moment of all time!
@PauloHernandezXD11 ай бұрын
Truth be told men can have plenty of female suitors interested in him after a break up. But a lot of those woman can be OCD levels of judgmental about everything related to a man. His job, car, living space. Et cetera. Plus if a man says one thing that doesn’t have the correct sounding octave of tone of confidence in his voice-he’ll slowly become less & less attractive. And a man is nothing more than a series of check marks that have to meet her EXACT criteria. And she’ll say “let’s just be friends” & it’s back to square one for the man wanting to take a chance. And the woman goes for a man who “projects” confidence but here’s the secret…it’s one of those *sshole, jerk, abusers, manipulators that aren’t good for them. And she’s back to square one. Dating sucks for everyone. And there’s only a few good people out there, both men & women.

Honestly, when we first see Leonore, I'm just wondering what Bill saw in her. She willfully admitted to stealing him from someone else. That should be a red flag that she won't be loyal. Don't get me wrong. Bill is a good man, but he's not that smart. He doesn't seem to have any self preservation instincts at all. He just simps on others. I feel bad for him, but in my opinion he deserves the life he has for letting others take advantage of him. This man is a walking anecdote on why simping is bad.

I mean, I have my own problems too. Don't get me wrong. But when I believe someone is or might be uncomfortable around me, or if I believe I might make them feel that way, I at least have the decency to distance myself from them till I'm in a better position. Plus, he doesn't have any hobbies, projects, or anything outside of whatever his buddies are doing.
