This is pretty cool that Belichick knows this stuff. Shows how much he loves football and also how he thinks of the game as a coach. A couple points: the other team that had signed Hudson was the Brooklyn Dodgers, not the Giants. Also, he didn't mention Arnie Herber, who was the first person (tailback) throwing the ball to Hudson. The careers of Herber and Isbell overlap. While I find the Packers history the most interesting team history probably in sports, the histories of the other teams are also interesting.

We're really proud of those names you see at Lambeau Field. We probably wouldn't have the city we do now if it wasn't for the players we had and the connection we felt to our team and what it meant to our community. All the other teams the Packers used to play, other than the Bears - they're all gone and have been gone for over 80 years. We made it through and those players are a big reason why. I look forward to seeing a legendary visitor on Sunday. Welcome to Green Bay, see you there.

Say or think what you want about Belichick, but he you have to appreciate his knowledge & history of the game.

Yep I’m not a Pats fan so I couldn’t care less how they perform, but I personally think it’s awesome he taught his team their history!

@@GoldenSportsEnt I find it very sad that so many of today's players have little to no knowledge of the players that built the game. Had it not been for the pioneers of the early pro game, today's players would not be enjoying the benefits they derive from it.

@@terryjordan5972 Yes to what you posted, plus the golden goose of free market capitalism which helped the NFL to be as big as it is today.

It's a shame the schedule couldn't bring Belichick's Pats to Lambeau more often.

Yep. I heard this weekend will be the first time Mahomes plays in Lambeau! Insane!
