I'm a bigger woman, who did a lot of fighting in her youth. I've fought men more often than I've fought women. Some I won. Some I lost. I'm telling you this to let you know that I have been consistant in my position on this throughout my entire life. I now have 2 adult sons. I raised them to be gentlemen and that includes never putting your hands on a lady. However, I also told them that if I woman came at them physically, to assess her threat level. If you're a petite girl, or a girly-girl, and the hitting did no damage and caused no injury, simply walk away, or (if you are more intimately aquainted) take her over your knee for a few smacks. I would consider that equal to a slap in the face - not harmful, but embarrassing and just as appropriate as her actions. BUT, I told them if a woman hits you like a man (and I mean, rings your bell), hit her back like a man. Now a lot of people don't agree with me, and that's fine. But in all the years I was scrapping, stupidly in my youth, I never once, swung on a man and just assumed I wouldn't get some sort of physical response. The ONLY reason women like that swing, is because they know the man won't and I'm sorry, but that's just being a bully. It's like taunting a guard dog and staying just beyond the reach of his leash. A) You're an asshole. And B) I don't feel bad for you when you get bit! #JustSayin

@@TheOrlandoTrustfull if you believe she wrote a novel, maybe you should take the time and read a real novel "War and Peace" instead of pretending you think what a novel is. All she was trying to do is make a point and you obviously missed the point altogether. The point of her story is, physical abuse can happen on both sides. There are plenty of KZbin videos of women beating the snot out of men. Her bigger point is men should be able to defend themselves and not get punished for it. The overall point, nobody should get beat, but at least be able to defend themselves. Maybe instead of trying to belittle her, you might want to understand she is trying to protect you and others... but nah, youre too much of a man and dont need a females perspective on anything. Obviously, your mamma taught you nothing! #JustSayin

@Bo Fo So in short, "I feel threatened by petite girls who don't know how to fight". It's not even about gender at that point, if it's a guy half my size and weight, I'd only hit him if I really had to and wouldn't stop after restraining, not as a standard reaction.
@entryofemotion122 жыл бұрын
So I half agree with you. On one hand, you should never hit a woman that doesn't approach you and throw the first punch. However, if she's willing and able enough that she's intending to punch me and I know it's not playful, SHE has made the first move and thrown the woman card out the window. I would absolutely with no hesitation hit her back. When I was younger I had a girl cousin who would take advantage of the "Don't hit a woman" card my parents taught me, and she'd smack and punch and whatever else she could with no retailiation. When I told my parents what happened, they revised it to "only hit a woman if they hit you first" and the FIRST time she reared pack and punched me after that, I punched her RIGHT back. At that point, it stopped. We're friendly and all today, but it was that threat that if it kept going she'd get her payback that stopped it. She's since apologized MANY times for it. If she's PUNCHING me, and I don't perceive it as a joke(You can tell based on the situation) she ABSOLUTELY will get one back. I don't care HOW big or small you are. I'm not going to throw one first, but you going first throws out that protection of being a woman. You obviously have big enough balls to throw a punch and start a fight, you're gonna have to finish it. And to be honest, I wish it could be only if you feel threatened, but at this point and time our of society, when we're in the midst of all the societal stuff going on, I just don't have the patience to play on a threat assessment level anyways. And I won't play into it. There's too much room for arguments to be used JUST to get you out of trouble to make it worth the worry. You wanna punch, you're willing to GET punched. If you wanna take it to school kid levels, don't give what you can't take. Can't stand the heat, don't step in the kitchen. All that stuff. If you're willing to put yourself into the potentially dangerous situation of getting punched back, you probably deserve to be punched back.

What I'm afraid of is the fact that my wife and I have not once EVER had a screaming match. We've had moments here and there.... few and far between where we are upset with one another. I'm the type to bottle it up and let it out wherever I can. And occasionally break down and cry because I'm an emotional drinker. But, I know deep down that my wife has EVERY reason to be pissed with me and not satisfied. But, I still have times that I want to lose my shit and have to remind myself that I'm the problem. I'm supposed to be the man. I haven't been. It hurts my ego to say that, but it is what it is. However, I am still proud of the fact that after 8 years married and almost 14 years together... we have never raised our voices at one another. We've been mad, upset, and disappointed with one another but have yet to resort to acting like children. At least in that sense. Bringing this to a close... I'm scared of what is going to happen when that fight does happen LOL!

Equal rights, equal duties. Jobs: If you aren't as qualified as someone else, you shouldn't get the same payment. Don't demand to be taken into the same job if you can't qualify it. That pertains to ALL abilities, which includes biologically based physical abilities where biological men and women are simply biologically different. Meaning that if physical strength, endurance, speed, etc is needed for a job, a woman's qualifications should not be lowered for job entry due to her being a woman. If she can do it, let her. I applaud that. If she can't it's exactly the same as with a man who is not qualified in office abilities to get the same job vs a woman who has the qualifications. That is no discrimination, that is full equality. THAT is fully treating women as equals. Violence: If you treat someone like shit, assault them, no matter their gender, don't be astonished if that person hits back at the best of their abilities to defend themselves. That applies to women as well. If they assault someone the opposite should assess their threat level and respond accordingly, with just enough counter force to neutralize them as a threat. Not more. But that also means that if a woman is able to pose an actual threat in a physical hand-to-hand fight to a man it would a) not be in the man's best interest to pull the punches, b) he would devalue her as a woman to do so by NOT treating her like a threat when in reality she is. That does NOT mean that a man should initiate a fight. No way. It also does NOT give a man cause to respond with more force and violence than necessary to defend himself. It all boils down to appropriate responses.

If shes just smacking ya, you can smack right back. Equal force. Eventually if you stay with that woman long enough then she will learn not to attack you an to use thier words.

@jasonalbran3762 жыл бұрын
Then that leads into the question that is it ok for little guy to hit the bigger guy? That happens! And the big guy is expected to not respond. In various ways.. You have Twitter Goblins attacking comic artists and when the artists responds the goblins cry that they're getting picked on and they teenagers or small time internet personalities. Well, don't throw stones if you live in a glass house. Same goes for little guys and big guys in physical confrontations. Don't pick a fight and cry when you get your ass kicked. Smaller people are almost entirely the problem. They're extremely entitled, have a multitude of double standards, picking fights and conflicts theb crying when they get their ass handed to them. The idea bogs randomly walk around pushing around small people is a Hollywood stereotype. The little guy is always on edge with envy and resentment and are often the biggest assholes on the planet. It's called a Nepoleon Complex or Short Man's disease for a reason.
