I don't understand a lot of the feminist stuff. Growing up as a kid in the 80's and a teen in the 90's it was common for women to be successful. Being doctors, lawyers, scientists, heads of corporations. Which is why it always confuses me when I see a news report or article saying "can you believe this woman did this great thing", I'm like "yeah, I can totally believe it.......why can't you?". It almost seems like the feminists are the only ones that are surprised that a woman is capable of being successful.

I'm far too involved with the natural sciences to go down those conspiracy theory rabbit holes, but beyond that Bill has fantastic points about most other things. My wife wouldn't be caught dead at one of those feminist rallies, but she sure as hell isn't being told what to do, or when, or how. A lot of people have this crazy idea that it's not possible for a woman to be assertive/independent without also being some man-hating lunatic. It's absurd.
