Great point on guys being too afraid to riff with Bill, you can feel Ethan and Theo rocking back on their heels when Bill chirps them, and you can see Bill's being his version of playful, and you can see what happens with that same energy when he meets someone who plays back. Lovitz, Maher, Derosa, Bartnick, Virzi etc. You can hear the difference with the recipient, but Bill's being the same.

The reviews of that Bill Burr and Jon Lovitz podcast showed me how many people don’t understand comedians or comedy in general. It is so obvious that they were deadpan roasting each other. Upping each other with how ludicrously rude they can be to one another. But at the time, I remember critics calling it, uncomfortable, awkward, cringey, and just didn’t get it. And I’m like, “oh, you just don’t get comedy at all.” This episode was definitely not for people who’s limit is a randy knock-knock joke at the company party.

Hey Nadav. Can you at some point bring up that Ethan has been a record-holder bully, and the day that he is bullied in his own podcast, he ends up in therapy. Ethan is famous for aggressively attacking people after watching clips, and they are not even in the room to fight back. It seems like he likes to be the pressure giver and can't hold the pressure when done to him. Constantly bringing up the aftermath therapy, expecting for people to feel bad for him.

I’ve always felt like I’m the only one who just doesn’t really like Bill Burr’s whole schtick he does on these podcasts and in alot of his comedy. He accepts the invite to do a show, then sometimes just decides he doesn’t wanna participate and doesn’t wanna be there so he’s just a pain in the ass the whole show. I love his acting, and about half of his comedy, but the rest of his loud Boston guy yelling about everything he doesn’t like act just doesn’t do it for me. I love watching people taking playful shots at each other, but sometimes he just goes to a place with it where he seems like he’s actually just getting enjoyment from being a dick, not from getting a laugh, and even when he sees that he’s gone too far and maybe genuinely hurting the person, he not only doesn’t stop or make sure they know he’s kidding, he actually goes even deeper and tries to completely break them. I like when he’s on shows with people like Conan who none of that shit works on though so I might have to watch this Lovitz episode
