Huge WKRP in Cincinnati fan. This song , this episode, the real tragedy at the Who concert, forever with me.

I wasn't a huge fan of WKRP in Cincinnati but I watched this episode when it originally aired. I distinctly recall Venus playing the haunting and melancholic "Remembering the Rain" by "Brother Bill Evans." It must be a beautiful song for me to retain that memory for over 41 years.

You too? Yeah, it's ridiculous what we remember. I was 8 years old, and this stuck with me.

This is so crazy I myself was watching WKRP in Cincinnati just a few minutes ago on this Sunday morning 7:00 to be exact and I saw the same episode and I just finished playing the song what a great way to bring in a Sunday morning we both connected on the same vibe that's so ironic also it indicates that you know good music 🙏👍💪🇺🇲🎼🎹☀️🇺🇲

I loved the show, the tribute episode & being introduced to this beautiful tune in it. Just watched it again & this song had been dubbed out. So ridiculous.

The music is magnificent (as so much of the music from Bill Evans was), but let us not ignore the beautiful photography and the wonderful job of integrating it with the music into this gorgeous video. Thank you, Sergio Montanari.

I think that one thing that the WKRP in Cincinnati episode "In Concert" taught me and other viewers was about the potential dangers of attending rock concerts. And you're going to have problems at rock concerts with oversold or general admission seats along with people doing illegal drugs. This song is very moving.

Fine interpretation of a beautiful song. Did Bill Evans record it? I heard a fabulous performance of it by Roy Hargrove Big Band at Marciac Jazz Festival in 2011 or 2013(?).
@conradinhawaii78563 жыл бұрын
Well... not only is this Bill performing it here, but he also composed it. It was the final track on his album "New Conversations" back in the '70s.
