These Savoy Jazz video insights to the studio & the musician's commentary add alot to "attempting" to understand what Bill is doing. I listen to almost everything he does but as a non-musician I can never quite get it. I know there is something qualitative going on, beyond my capability to grasp. In recent years his music is "slower" for lack of a better description. As if distilling his playing down to the fewest notes. I prefer his more aggressive stuff but that's not where he's at.

Just listen to the music man... it's not hard to understand how beautiful it is.
