My HEAVY Burdens Have Rolled Away was written by Shawn Obrien and I. The song was written in Flemish and translated into English by my mother. The song was written after both our families had moved from Michigan to Missouri. We hadn't seen each other for several months. He came with his step father to Kansas City and we wrote the song on Easter of 1972 while Ted was barbecuing in our back yard.

That's Jackie Harling. She is the daughter of Calvin Newton, a Homecoming Series staple and former member of the Oak Ridge Boys. Jackie appeared as a member of the choir on a good number of videos, but I only know of one or two where she was featured on a solo.
