To do the “GET THAT GREASER!” part, 1st, pause the video, 2nd, slide the red line to the VERY beginning, 3, say the quote, and then ONCE you say The ‘grea’ part of the word ‘greaser’ press PLAY, BUT, make sure that you say everything like in the movie. Don’t do it like: GET THAT GREA- *plays video* -SER! Do it like: GET THAT GREASER just play the video as SOON as you say the ‘GREA’ part of the word, instead of saying the WHOLE word. The reason for this is because you want to make sure if that you play the video at the RIGHT time. Please like this if it helped, but if it didn’t, then dislike it, and tell me what I could’ve done to improve the “instructions”.

1. He's an American of European descent. 2. I'm not talking about why any given person may or may not like this song. I'm talking about the systematic racism in the music industry whereby Black artists were deliberately marginalized which made it easier for White covers of their songs to become the standard. Thus depriving Black artists of the credit and renumeration due to their originality.

I like Bill Haley a lot since I heard Rock Around the Clock in the opening of American Grafitti; however, not to slam this version, I feel Joe Turner's version is worth a listen. Haley has an uptempo, clean version while Turner is a bit more raw in terms of lyrics and a horns sound.

This is a great song, always will be, but stop saying this generation 'messed it up' there are plenty of artists today that have taken 'and continue to take earlier stuff like shake, rattle n roll to impressive entertaining

I am pretty sure that he identified as an American, and didn't tell everyone that he's an "American of European descent." The genres that Bill sang originated in the United States and doesn't pertain to Europe regionally or culturally!! It's not Europeanized, it's Americanized/westernized. Are you only saying that because he's white? In case you haven't looked around- The US is home to whites, blacks, and most everything in between. I concur.

I'm pretty sure he didn't identify as a biped either. You can put whatever words you want into his mouth but he was white and knew he was white. I'm not calling him European I'm calling him White, I'm saying his version was calculated to appeal more to Whites than Turner's the first step in that appeal was his being white. And where do you think Turner came from? How can Haley Americanize another American's work? And I don't know why you felt the need to let me know that America is diverse.
