Every time I see Bill it's like falling in love, each time I feel like crap and this world grinds me under, I just remember Bill. Love you, you beautiful outlaw.

I hope when I die, I see Bill Hicks from a far in a void sitting around a campfire singing a song about my life like this one.

He actually is though. The evidence that he's Alex Jones is mounting up now... it's an INCREDIBLE set of circumstances if he isn't.

Now that was a treat! Thanks. High as a kite and funnier than stink. Always with an edge. Cannot carry a tune. NO ONE, I mean NO ONE has even come close to touching this man's searing wit and the places he went. Carlin, great as he was, barely went there comparatively speaking. Bill, you are so missed... but, there are no accidents; you left when your gig was up. But we miss you so very much.

i think there's an interview out there somewhere where carlin admits hicks was one of the greats and someone he admired...hicks has been my number one comedian..only 22 so some of his material about wars that i only read about were slightly outdated for me...yet still relate to things happening today..but the man was way ahead of his time, truly a comedic genius

Barbara Lee, i loved your first sentence and agreed with everything you wrote except when u said "there are no accidents". oh yes there are. in fact everything that happens and is born and dies is by accident. It was the accident that brought us here and communicate. Chances rule.

July 17, 1988 in Houston? I was in Houston that same week on vacation with my family. I only remember because that was the same week as the Democratic National Convention, and that was running on the TV in our hotel room.

Totally agree. It ain’t easy to sing while playing a riff like that. He just probably had very high standards for what he considered good guitar playing.

Ah Houston House. If you guys read Agent of Evolution, a lot of crazy shit went down there. Hell it's where some of the scenes from Ninja bachelor party were filmed. For example, the signing in scene, the elevator scene and the pool scene. Also if you haven't, go get Agent of Evolution. If you're a Bill Hicks fan or a fan of the outlaw comics, you own it to yourself to get that book. Excellent.

does anybody know how this damn guitar was tuned in this song? It can't be like standard
@charold39 жыл бұрын
Tobi Ace Regular tuning, rooted in E Major (yes, he could rant in E Major too!), then A, then a B7 with an A at the top (haven't seen that done all that often). Not a bad guitar player for a comedian!

probably mushrooms he seemed to really like them and the amount he giggles...idk it just doesn't seem like a far reaching shot to me. but some people, myself included can handle those drugs without people really noticing. I'm not saying he was high or wasn't but to be honest I did get the impression he was on mushrooms or acid, but just knew how to handle it (got no real evidence to back that up other than a "vibe" tho..and the fact that hicks talked about being high all the time in his material lol)
