I watched 14 different video's on the seasons back in the day when i didn't know how the earths rotation in correlation to the sun worked and NONE of them helped me to understand it. Then I watched good ol Bill Nye when he was actually on Tv way back when and it was INSTENTLY comprehensive. even today I would say how he describes things is head and shoulders above 90% of the explanations of how this works.

And when it is summer in the northern hemisphere the north pole is tilted towards the sun? And in the spring it is not titled at all but straight up and down?

At the end of the video when he showed the motors in each hemisphere, he said the southern hemisphere's motor was spinning way faster than the northern motor because it was tilted toward the sun. I can see with my own eyes that the northern motor was actually spinning faster... so how come when it's winter in the north, the sun still reaches it enough to make the motor spin faster than in the south, which is pointed toward the sun?

If the earth was tilted but did not orbit the sun would there be seasons? What if the earth was not tilted but still orbited the sun? What if the earth was tilted on its axis, orbited the sun but did not rotate on its axis? If there was no moon, would there still be Day and night? From space, what does day and night look like on earth?

1) steady state, no seasons, but temperature variation by latitude would not be even distributed, permanent summer at one end, winter at the other 2) no seasonal variation 3) seasons, but youd get periods of non stop darkness and aun depending in what part of the orbit you're in 4) moon doesn't affect day/night cycles 5) you can see that from space, a line of dark sweeps across the globe, called "the terminator", there's a corresponding line on the other aide for sunrise

for the seasons heat lamp if you made a to scale model I wonder if it would turn out the same. He used a tiny heat lamp focused on the middle rather than a giant heat lamp. 1.3million Earths could fit inside the sun and he used a heat lamp 1/10 the size of the Earth. Do it to scale and lets see the results.

If you were on the other side you might say it "feels" like August for you, but it'll still be December for them too. Depending on where the country is located, northern or southern hemisphere, their time frame of Winter will be a bit different from us. December is not Winter for all parts of the world :)
