It was a great film, but this remake has the potential to bring in a new generation of fans. I can't believe how much hate this movie is getting even before its release. Im hyped for the film, and I hope it does great and all the hate doesn't discourage people from seeing it. Especially all the, potentially, new fans who have never seen or heard of the crow. Its not just a movie, it has so much more meaning behind it. So by using the names they did, only shows that Hollywood is once again taking a steaming pile on something that didnt need to be touched. The sad part, the part that was incredibly tragic and wrong, is that Brandon Lee died involving yet another incident with a prop gun. Before him there was an actor named Jon-Erik Hexum that died making a tv show. That also involved a prop gun. If the correct safeguards were in place then neither one of those actors would have died. And the death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust decades later wouldn't have happened. "Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." -Winston Churchill

Both Bruce and Brandon Lee were murdered by the deep state because they were using their kung fu and detective skills to investigate and bring down the Bohemian Grove child trafficking ring. Bruce had played a role in ending the Vietnam War by destroying a secret sex slave trafficking dungeon in Saigon with a flurry of punches and kicks. A few months later, a Mossad goon sent by Robert Maxwell switched his Ibuprofen with cyanide. Brandon had discovered a Waco based child-peddling ring and while infiltrating it he roundhouse kicked Janet Reno. She escaped but not without getting Parkinson's disease from the force of the kick. The next week, she had some goons switch the prop gun on the set of The Crow and we know the rest. Open your eyes, sheeple!

I am on the Original Directors side on this. Every Crow sequel was it's own story that didn't replace the original Crow but merely told another Crow Story in that world. There is no good reason to remake Eric Draven or Shelly Webster, they could have just made original character with different names. They only reason why they are making a remake is because they don't have the ability to make a compelling story to stand on its own and so they are using the original characters as a marketing ploy to push sales and get people to hate watch it. The generic looking trailer with no original style has convinced me that this movie is just a paint by numbers film. Before anyone says you cannot judge a movie by it's trailer, you are wrong. Stop letting Hollywood gaslight you and realize that is the whole purpose of a trailer. To watch, judge, and decide if the movie is worth your time and money.

A remake of The Crow is in the works. I can't wait.

We should be calling out the directors complaining.

The people complaining are probably gonna be the first in line to see it lol

It’s the execs, producers and directors that should get “called out” - not him!!

People who say it’s immoral need to get a life and shut up

Bill playing the part won't mean it's still not Brandon's. It will always truly be Brandon's. I think a reboot is completely unnecessary but whatever

Edward Pressman will kill it... He has destroyed so many Crow remakes its unreal and no one comments or mentions it

Talk about gate keeping. “It should remain with Brandon “ several sequels without him already happened so ?

The firearm that killed Brandon Lee wasn’t faulty. It was a perfectly functional weapon that had a squib*. When the weapon was used in the scene that claimed Brandon Lee’s life, a blank** propelled the squib out of the barrel. Squibs do not affect the mechanical functionality of a gun, though it is an extremely dangerous condition that, in the event a live round is fired, could cause the gun to explode. *A squib is an obstruction in the barrel caused by a bullet with insufficient velocity to exit the barrel coming to a stop at some point. ** A blank is a cartridge loaded with gunpowder that utilizes a paper wadding to obturate the powder charge. The wadding serves to seal the powder charge to prevent it from falling out of the cartridge, keep it from absorbing ambient humidity from the air and cause the powder to build up pressure when ignited.

He doesn't look like the crow, and the trailer doesn't have the same atmosphere as the crow. I'm not mad at him for taking the job, I'm mad at the people who decided to steer away from the source material. Looks like any revenge style action movie.

A reboot also give the original a lot of attention not just this new movie
