Thirty years since I saw the first Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and these movies *STILL* make me so happy. The films are pure uplifting happieness. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter seem like pure genuine, lovable friends and great humans, which is really important for a movies credability and longevity. I love earlier films that *had* to use practical effects and go to *real* places; the less green screen the better, it's more human.

Thank you Keanu & Alex for playing out the characters as I wrote them and intended them to be. Too bad the people claiming MY story as their own still continue to lie to the people who adore my creation... You both did an excellent job & I thank you for nailing my characters of my story. If anyone is interested in how I came up with the story go ahead and ask me. I wrote it in the Spring of 84' when I was 11 years old. It was in the news because my family and I were looking to sue. These nefarious thieves also made fun of me in their next movie "Encino Man" about 20 minutes in... I chose to watch this movie because I wanted to see if they had any talent themselves, thinking maybe they didn't steal this idea as well, or if it was perhaps just a take off of my story of the boys.I did notice that all of their movies were flops, except the story they stole from me. . . They have absolutely NO shame for what they STOLE from a young writer-

Bogus Journey is so divisive when it comes to people I chat with about it. It’s understandable because of its tonal and structural departure from the original. I remember as a kid going to the theater to see it and leaving thinking “what the heck did I just watch?”. It was a complete mind-f*** of a film, so weird and out there. I would say at that time a preferred the original. Now that I am older I actually prefer it to the first flick. While the first flick is a more straight forward and more easily consumed movie I do love how balls to the wall the sequel goes with a ton of stuff. It’s like in Spinal Tap “this one goes to 11”.

Carlin was a great comic, perhaps the best ever, but in a cruel twist, what he truly wanted to be was a serious actor! That's why he approached this role, which otherwise could have been quite corny, with such seriousness. In my opinion, Rufus makes the whole premise of the movie work.

While a memorable movie, I did not need 39+ minutes of showing the scenes and someone explaining what the scene had obviously shown. 🙄 Alex and Keanu's few comments about what it was like was ok. But it could have been summed up in less than 5 minutes. The nostalgia this brings back for me, was a good buddy and I going to the movie walking out being entertained by it and of course, doing the ridiculous dialog on our drive back home. 89 was a big year for me and my buddy. We went our separate ways to start our own journey in life. Getting married, etc. But this movie will forever be linked to a simpler time for me. A time where good friends(just like in the movie)hung out and were doing the HS stuff and planning for an awesome future.

"Excellent Adventure" was everything people liked about (and still have nostalgia for) the 80s. "Bogus Journey" simply didn't have ANY of those factors, and possibly BUILT on the things people hated about the 80s, such as "over the top" performances; we REALLY didn't need an introduction to THE ENTIRE Wild Stallyns Band

I think the writers were right on the money with what the film is and tributed. Personally, I have always adored its nod to the value of education. One of my favorite scenes is when Ted says, "He was the teacher of Plato, who was, in turn, the teacher of Aristotle" and Mr. Ryan looks at the boys in astonishment. It's just so great. And it all fits together so well. How awesome is it that the two greatest humans in history, who "bring the planets into universal harmony" have such intimate passing with some of history's most regarded figures? The second, yes darker, film keeps with this tradition. It is God-ordained and destiny that these individuals will bring about this great peace. Station and Station's robots are awesome! The third film? Eh. What a steaming pile of woke, narrative-pushing garbage that was. It was a mess.
