So many reasons for me that’s made it meaningful... - Their music saves the universe, creating the conditions for centuries of lasting peace for all humanity and non-human life. - Bill & Ted proved everyone wrong that they would never amount to anything good in life. But, they proved it to themselves in the end that they were capable of greatness. - To see two childhood best friends overcomes the odds and fulfill their dreams was a heartwarming thing to see. Especially in those two moments in the end where they play their guitars back-to-back and then followed up with that high five. - Giving God glory and showing gratitude for how their lives turned out. - In the blink of an eye (literally) maturing from immature 20 somethings to the senior ambassadors of rock n roll. - Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey had an ending that inspires hope. What started out to be a screwball series about teen hijinks and time travel became something much more touching in the end. I don’t think that was planned. Because the Battle of the Bands was not the original uplifting ending for the movie and the song played on stage for the live audience was not Kiss’ cover by Argent. Post-production by the studio with those magazine and news clips perfectly timed with the last minute choice of “God Gave Rock n Roll To You” was one of those rare cinematic moments of catching lightning in a bottle. Right up there with the ending of Rocky and Rocky 2.
