Just love this, it reminds of sprang. My family is from Oslo Norway. I do a lot of weaving. I really enjoy the card weaving which is similar to this. You might be interested in looking at that technique. I cut the cards in squares and thread the different color yarns. As I set them up you can advance the turn on each one and it makes beautiful patterns just tuning the deck back and forth to create a shed. Love watching you work. Beautiful pieces and the beading is amazing. I like the designs.

Look at Taproot Video for Carol James’ class on fingerweaving. She has a different style of weaving than this (does not use thumbs to advance the weft, in other words).
