Two friends of mine from Glasgow were in a London pub drinking and they were having an argument is that Bill Wyman having a drink? Eventually they went over to ask him if he was and as they approached Bill said okay you can have an autograph. We don’t want an autograph they replied we just wanted to settle an argument. They all laughed and ended up spending the night with Bill drinking.

Yes, but it has to be said that Mick Jagger would have had (prefered) his friend Dick taylor (of the pretty Things, who remembers them?) on Bass if it wasn't for the fact that Bill had a great amp...

As much as he's a great bass player watching Bill on the stage is as exciting as watching grass grow.

Like watching Roy Orbison, who used to come on stage, stand there and sing, then walk off. They could’ve used a cardboard cut out with more animation.

Did he plays bass in Satisfaction - Stones?
@theseeker46422 жыл бұрын
Bill played with the Stones from their inception, he also composed the opening riff for Jumping Jack Flash on a piano, which Keith immediately jumped on. He invented the fretless bass, by removing the frets so that he could the sound he wanted on King Bee & others.

Woman Should’ve been doing more songs with the Rolling Stones; I know what it’s like to be a bass player; for one thing it’s hard to sing and play bass at the same time; guitar players are a dime a dozen; bass player worth a quarter apiece
@eightinches60943 жыл бұрын
I saw an interview with Mick Jagger, he was asked about Bill Wyman leaving the Rolling Stones and he basically said it was no big deal, he shrugged it off and said anybody could play bass for the Stones. Kind of a weird and disrespectful answer.

@@JeffaHensley I agree. I think everyone is misunderstanding my post. I’m saying Keith is not a great vocalist. Bill can song lead vocals better than Keith. Not much better but better. Keith’s vocals have suffered mightily over the years.
