On most Monday nights, they have oxtail! About a month ago, all of us had a lot of oxtail with rice. We looked around and saw a guy, who came by himself, enjoying oxtail all night as well. It's really worth it because oxtail is kind of expensive, so even if you pay a lot at other restaurants, you only get a paltry several pieces and never enough sauce. Thanks for sharing; many of these are new to me

I stayed at the Cal last week and got their Kalua Pork Tuesday special for $9.49----I didnt realize the pork was on the MSS buffet because I assume for a few more bucks I could have has a plethora of items, drink included----meaning the Kalua Pork special isnt all that special---but it was damned good.

Hello, Bill & Lisa! I just subscribed through our Hog and 2cent channel and my personal channel, Laura Hauser Ognibene. I loved this video! Everything about it. From just being in downtown (our favorite), to the cheap eats, Atomic Liquors, the snooker table ... all of it. There are a few eats you've done that we haven't tried. Hog eats like a 5 year old so it's just about only hamburgers, pizza, and hotdogs. He's not as adventurous as I am when it comes to food. I truly wish Golden Gate still had the shrimp cocktail and Dupars, though. We ate at the Dupars at Suncoast, but .... not the same. Again, thank you for the wonderful vlog. You both are too cute!!! Can't wait for the next one. 🤗 -2cent.

My wife liked the Main Street Station when it was Rosie O'Grady's. Yes, the horse racing game was there when it was Fitzgerald's. I remember that Main Street Station had good pizza. Most of the Boyd Group Hotels do. Back in the '90's the Golden Gate Shrimp Cocktail was considered the best. My wife used to like it. I even ordered a Shrimp Cocktail for her and she had them both Never new the liquor place is there. Not much of a drinker anyway. How did you like staying at the Main Street Station? Roulette is the worst table game you could play. California Hotel and Main Street Station are both owned by the same people. Market Street Cafe is a good place. Ate there a few times. Don't know about now, but, they used to have a good breakfast special at the California.

Don't like lobster. Main Street Station Buffet is my favorite down there. Did you try the coffee shop at Jerry's Nugget? I didn't know that hotel was there. When I lived in Las Vegas a friend took me there one night. Been there a few times, but, mostly to eat. Want to try playing in the casino sometime.

Oh wow I could not believe it when I seen the old horse racing game that you two were playing, my first visit ever to a casino back in the day was in Atlantic City at the old Merv Griffins Resorts and they had that game. That was definitely a memory lane type of moment for me and I thank you so much for that. Thinking back to that night being with my brother who has passed now makes me realize I have to make plans for a trip. God bless you guys!

I was there over Thanksgiving 2019. The prime rib from 4 Queens across the street was far better. I ended up going there 3 times in 5 days. What can I say? I was in a prime rib mood.

Just for those wondering, at 22:00, the thing on the right is a cheese blintz and that potato looking thing is a 'pig in a blanket'. Yes, I have eaten many breakfasts at the Cal. :) Breakfast buffet free with a Aloha meal coupon,. I like 'comps' because you can afford a bigger tip than you usually would leave. I'm usually booked by this time to go to Vegas in late March but with this current flu virus going around am wondering if it's wise not to. Lisa and Bill, I'm wondering if you will be curtailing your trips and if not what extra pre-cautions will you be taking to protect your health on your future journeys.
