The people I've met from Greece are quite uneasy to deal with..I feel they are close minded ..I don't want to say they're racist..but..they think they are the biggest brain in the world. Can't even make small talk. The men think women are (things) that should only stay home and serve the men.

My brother in christ this is not Mykonos, it's not a tourist destination for the swiss to go and burn money. This is one of our hidden gems, it has tourism but mostly from other Greeks who live nearby or got relatives there. With a 1000 dollars a month you'd live kingly over there. Though it is pretty small and while there's plenty of properties for sale it's hard to find whole homes because most of them have been bought or inherited already. I live on Crete though I'm originally from that area. Around here there's so many beautiful villages with massive villas for sale at complete joke prices. Greece is phenomenal as a retirement choice because as long as you want to stay away from the largest cities the housing market is doing well.
