I'm liking both entries this week. Wilting in the Light is solid metalcore, I'd say it's better than the last KSE single. 7.25/10 Fantastic slaps. This might not be a popular opinion, but to me this is a banger and the f-word doesn't sound forced here compared to other recent songs.

Some rankings for the week. It's a nice, slow week, as has been the norm. I'm really excited to see what summer brings us. Intro Thoughts: You Me At Six - Room To Breathe: Solid stuff from these guys, they're a great band. Well, maybe not some of the newer stuff, but yeah, back then you couldn't go wrong. Not a fan. 30 does a better job of executing that message. I moved Let The Bad Times Roll down to bad from decent, as well... Yeah, it's bad. The verses are good but the mixing is awful, the chorus is awful too. Literally the fact that the verses have some lyrical content is what saves it from being plummeted to awful, and that's just at the current moment. Anyway, mathing out with those changes and the Foundry song in mind, 0+7+10+30+52+70 (as per the totals) brings it to 169/250, or 68%, aided by the fact that the Top 10 has been filled with the same consistently songs that I've placed in the 'fantastic category'. Mediabase Ranks: Terrible (0 pts) Devil From Hell Bad (1 pt) Tears Of Gold Okay (2 pts) Fantastic All My Favorite Songs Anchor Decent (3 pts) Good (4 pts) Earth Is A Black Hole The Way I Say Goodbye .CoDA. My opinions on the new songs this week. Intro: You Me At Six - Room To Breathe: It's OK, but where was always something about this song that kinda annoys me. Blame My Youth - Fantastic: Meh. This would suit alt charts better. Light The Torch - Wilting In The Light: Good song, I like KSE better but I'm glad they are not just a KSE copy. @@drewbrooks7603 I would put Feel Invincible in decent tier. I have burnt out on Skillet. I think Ayron Jones and Rise Against are only 2 artists on the chart that can get their first #1 right now. I don't think Deftones can pull it off unfortunately. Ceremony's been on the chart for quite long and it's rising very slowly.

Hello everybody! Hope you're having a good Sunday. Throwback Song: Room To Breathe - You Me At Six - I have always liked this song, it's one of my favorites from 2014. Thanks for AAA for using my suggestion! My rankings (based on the entire song listen) 40. The chorus sounds so disconnected to the verses. While they have the same drum structure as each other, the tuning for each is different. The chorus is in C#, while the verses are in C. It doesn't help that the song is generic. 39. Honestly, while the song isn't good, my only real problem with it is the chorus is one of the worst I've ever heard. 38. "↓ ↓ buried beneath, I feel like I'm running out of time, running out of time, ↓ ↓ make me believe, I want you to show me I'm alive, show me I'm alive." 37. Heart but if they were metal? 36. Can this one just go away yet? 35. Flop on alternative, massive drop on active. Surprised it even charted it all. 34. I really hope MGK continues to go down the road of pop punk. 33. Dream Away is just good, but I honestly have nothing to say about it. 32. You Never Listen is better than I'm Not Right. There's less atrocious vocal effects, the guitars are less overpowering and have a catchier chord structure, and the lyrics are better. 31. I have to add this to my workout playlist, imagine running to this song. 30. Do you really need me to defend The Unknown? It's one of the most obviously good songs that has charted. I doubt it, but I hope it makes Top 20. 29. The production would put this song in the Great Tier, but Chris Daughtry mumbles in the verses and he's almost incomprehensible. 28. Monsters flopped on the Hot 100. Well, hopefully "Somebody Like That" doesn't get the same treatment. (If you haven't heard it, go listen to it, it's one of the catchiest and best country songs in a while.) 27. For The Glory might the worst example of a song being really fucking boring. The production is fucking awful. So many sounds that range from overblown guitars to the sound of flatulence. 26. At least Better Without You sounds good. I just hate how the guitars are so overblown and overpowering compared to everything else. Also, whoever mixed this song needs to learn that the vocalist should be the louder. 25. This gets better every listen. The "oh oh oh"s don't really bother me, and all the instruments have the same volume without overpowering each other. Is it one of the best Beartooth singles, no. They've made better, but it's still really good, and I expect that it will have an Excellent rating very soon. 24. I finally understand why everyone hates this song. I listen to the songs in order of the chart, and I came from The Past Is Dead and this song hit me like a fucking truck. It's a cheerleading chant, with the sound of hitting bleachers and high school drums sprinkled in the bridge. It's not bad (the guitar riff and vocal melody are fine, not good but fine) enough to be in the Bad Tier, but it's definitely one of the worst songs on the chart right now. 23. Typhoons gets better with every listen. It's one of those rare exceptions where overplay makes you like a song more. I haven't listened to the album (probably won't, I'm not really a new album person) but I hope that more songs have the production of this. 22. Hello, more heavy version of In Stride! 21. Not shocked that this has only gotten to #17. I'm happy it lasted long enough so that it counts for my lists later in the year though. 20. Badflower's next album is probably not going to be good considering the singles we've gotten from it. 19. We need more debuts. We've only been getting one per week and it's getting extremely boring. Can we get some debuts, like 3 next week to clean out more of this chart? 18. California Dreamin' is so boring compared to Rolling 7s and When I'm Gone. 17. Hey, did you hear about Corey Taylor's new mask that will "Scare the shit outta kids who see it,"? 16. I don't hate this, but more people should. 15. Not even going to make an AC/DC joke this week. Why the hell would you listen to this when you could be listening to Flick Of The Switch? 14. I really need to start listening to songs the whole way through. The bridge of this song is really fucking good. 13. Man, this Escape The Fate song sure does exist, doesn't it? 12. I hope the rest of Rise Against's album as good as this and Broken Dreams Inc. 11. Man, this Greta Van Fleet song sure does exist, doesn't it? 10. I could be listening to End Of Me. It'll probably be good in 10 years when the music of 2030 sucks and I have nostalgia for 2021's music. 9. This song demands your attention, and you will regret not giving it. 8. So, it's a recurrent at 20 weeks song. Just like I predicted. Still one of the best songs of the year so far, though. 7. Animals gets better with every listen. Even 24 weeks into its chart run. 6. One of the best choruses on the chart. 5. One of the best vocal melodies on the chart. 4. Why did this have to hit Top 5 while songs that were actually good barely make Top 30. 3. I hope this hits #1, it'll keep The Offspring off of it for a few weeks. 2. I hope Waiting On A War continues to stay at #2 for a few more weeks. Like I said with my review of Again, we need more debuts on this chart. Even if they are horrible, it will breathe new life into the charts. One debut a week is fine, but there's a lot of songs sticking to the chart like barnacles, and a 3-debut week will clear some of them out. Even if shit like Devil From Hell charts, I have a LOT to say about it, much more than a lot of the songs currently on the chart. Rock is overall good right now, and I can see it getting better if some better songs debut. Taking out the excellent tier and making it a 6 tier-system gives the chart a lower score, but higher percentage. 147/200, 73.5%

To add onto what LJ said, Mediabase charts and Billboard charts often differ, sometimes greatly. #40 and #35 on the Bubbling Under corresponds to Mediabase's chart, who has a slightly different panel than Billboard, hence why Never Know, despite being at #35 there, isn't on the chart on Billboard (missing out by 1 spin, very disappointing :( ).

@@cassiemyersconcertvids It doesn't matter who he works with, he's not a good singer. Saying there are worse singers on the chart isn't saying much. Can he sing like Michael Sweet of Stryper? He's an example of a good rock/ metal singer. Take a listen to Stryper and then go back and listen to MGK and tell me if you still think he's not that bad.
