Since I found Teddy on Spotify I listen to no one else. I’m 64 and maybe not your demographic but when music and lyrics speak to you, age, gender or genre just don’t matter. Stay on your path, you got this. ❤

I'm 56 and love him too! I think he's one of those artists who crosses those demographics and crushes them. Music has this effect when it feels like it's being manipulated into something it's not.

To soon! he has just conquered the whole of Europe with a fabulous tour! I'm from the Netherlands; he had 2 top 3 hits here, and his album is slaying the charts. In the UK he has just become a hot commodity. People are paying over 5 times the usual ticket price to see him in concert! Next year, he'll be playing the Big Arena's, for sure!

My son and I love him so much! His music brought us through a difficult time with the death of Paul's dad, my husband. I just existed. I wasn't living. Then I discovered Teddy's music, and we started going to his concerts and feeling like living might be possible again. He has no idea. But we travelled over 1500 miles by car to see him this summer, and it was worth every mile. My son (special needs) loves him so much, and he just shined! Teddy even seemed to sing to him at one point in Denver, Colorado, after we had endured high temperatures, thunderstorms, rain... all the stuff that can make a memory. Paul was simply beside himself that his hero sang right in front of him... he calls Teddy his "Friend". It was precious to him, and Lord knows it was precious to me. I only wish I could let Teddy know how much it meant, and how awesome he is to people like us.

I've been following Teddy Swims & his band the Elefvnts since his early KZbin garage videos in 2019. I was hooked from the start - got to see his first tour in Philly in January 2020 & multiple times since. Have tickets for the show in Atlantic City next month. His raw, rich, raspy, & genuine bluesy vocals are phenomenal. Heartbreak gave him the best lyrics & music for the most recent album. Teddy deserves the recognition he's getting- he's incredibly humble & generous- I'm hopeful that won't change!

Teddy you are amazing! You remind me so much of my husband that past in 2010. He and I would sing and dance and just enjoyed life and when he passed, I didn't want to listen to music anymore and quit singing. I was watching the Kelly Clarksons show and you brought me back. Thank you. I sing your music every morning on my way to work. It feels so good to sing and dance again. I love your song Broke. It cracks me up and I just love it. I dont give many newer artists their credit bc lets be honest, most of them are just one hit wonders or just disappear in 1 year. I honestly feel like this guy could be here for a long time. His voice and singing ability is extremely unique! The older crowd even enjoys his music a lot. He definitely has talent! I hope he doesn’t fall off tho 😂 A lot of times these newer artists get fame and they get lost in it, and drugs. Hope thats not the case with Teddy. Truly talented and he doesnt get the credit he deserves. I have seen so many ppl judging him over his tattoos and how he dresses in such. I personally like that abt him and I have only 1 tattoo on my body and only ears pierced but havent wore earrings in 10+ years. But anyways, its abt the music, not whats on his skin or his fashion is it? I wouldnt think so. Ppl can be so judgmental these days.

I am not saying "don't " because we all need to grow on our journey ... but I have to say from my experience, you are humble, honest, brave and not afraid to grow. I feel we can all learn something from your bruises and honesty. Thank you Teddy Swims for being you ... I actually took a life lesson from your sharing tonight that I can put in my tool box of life and bring out when needed to accept myself and the life that is always changing.

This is honestly THE BEST I have ever heard anyone explain my personal songwriting style. We have many similarities (and a few differences) with how we approach creating music. I think I like him that much more as an artist now... really dig his music already. But when he said his songs were written before the things happened that they were written about, I experience that as well! Always thought I was just manifesting my own destiny, but it's interesting to think maybe it was my subconscious giving me clues.
@kaylathompson23502 ай бұрын
And the pandemic gave me writers block too. I totally agree with all that. It's like I over edited everything I wrote, picked it all apart. Terrible for creativity! Kills it... he's so great at explaining songwriting and creative process. Nailed it!

No such thing as a particular type of demographic for music my friend. A 14 year old listening to this would take something away from it very differently to a 24 year old, 44 year old or 64 year old. One of the greatest joys we all have as we get older is being able to listen to songs from when we where young and them taking on a whole new significance - like listening to a song for the first time again. It's glorious!

Very classy person. I really like Teddy Swims. I mean that. He seems like someone who is making memories & really coming into his in a major way and also impressing all of us, the fans of his music, his lyrics-but more than that, the scratchy, sexy, strong sounds that emerge from him when he opens his mouth to sing his songs for us all... so my understanding from listening to multiple interviews with him about this topic, and this song was that he was with somebody he loved and the relationship was partially built off of using drugs together, and the best feelings that they had together were using drugs and connecting on so many levels physically and what not and it just seemed like it was something very toxic and that was going to end badly so that's my understanding of the whole situation I just know bless your heart for coming out on the other side clean and doing better whether or not you're clean you're definitely healthier and I hope you stay on the straighten path and get your act together because we need you for so many souls in this world mine included listening to you in this interview when you said you don't know that you want something so bad until you get out of the other thing that you're in use substances to make yourself feel better or numb and going to the withdrawal sucks but when you get on the other side, the realization of being clean and feeling so good is something that you want more than the substance abuse and I remember that feeling and thinking about it when you said that gives me hope for myself because I know that's what I want.

Don't bring up the past of someone so much sometimes people really are trying to fix their life and they don't need someone always bringing the stuff back up once is enough just be happy with them enjoy their happiness with them let them have their enjoyment. And love them for.fixing their wrongs...just bless them daily..
@Pete..7 ай бұрын
@@deborahthompson8370 I'll try to be polite by saying you must be lacking some sense in your head because the reason he made the song and put it out for the world is because he wanted people to understand specific problems and hopefully how to avoid them bye understanding what he's gone through so the whole reason is for someone to maybe learn from his mistakes and not go through what he did . not only that the interview they're literally talking about it and the interviewer is asking him this question so for you to say don't bring up the past about a subject that is literally about the past is hilarious. I'm not sure if you're all there in the brain but I think you should gather all the information of a situation before you start saying what people should or shouldn't say because you're just going to sound crazy.
