Can anyone in Denmark tell me what the relationship was like between Elisabeth and Queen Margrethe? Did the Danish people like Princess Elisabeth?

she was the queen's cousin and wasn't really a public figure. The danes didn't know her besides she was a part of the royal family.

As I recall, Elizabeth was close with Ingrid of Sweden. When I knew them, Ingrid was holding down the fort in Sandy Point, NS on the Dannebrog 1975-1979 at least. Princess Elizabeth's role in Washington would have her coming and going every few weeks or months. When she was there for a royal family reunion. King Constantine's family came to stay for some time as well Benedickte's. Elizabeth was also a diver I think so. Queen and Prince Henrik were restoring old castle ruins in France with Andre Count de Montpezat.
