Wife and I saw him years ago in Newberry SC. One of the best entertainment nights of our lives. He has a set of new material I've never seen recorded on uTube about a trip to Africa sitting among Gorillas that absolutely cracks me up. I'd pay to hear that same show again. He's totally under rated as a Comedian and presets some of the most family friendly humor available. This nations needs a dose of Bill Engvall daily!

As an RN who has had a lot of students and new grads around her, you never do something you've never done before and you never tell the patient you've never done that. I went to the school of, "see one, do one, teach one." When you "do one," someone is to be watching you.

I empathize, I had a hip replacement, same things happened to me. The surgeon asked me which hip needs replaced so I can mark it using a magic marker. WTF? Then I asked him if I could keep the bones so my cat can chew on them, he looked at me like I was crazy. Of course I was joking. Great drugs but also great pain.

When my dad had his right shoulder replaced, he actually had the nurse or whoever wrote the word “WRONG” on his left shoulder just to make sure they wouldn’t screw it up! And I’ve had surgery twice, once to get my tubes tied and once to have my gallbladder removed. When you go into the OR they make you state your name and what you’re in there for, so being a volunteer firefighter/EMT, I naturally decided to have fun with it. When I was getting my tubes tied, I told them I was getting “spayed,” and with the gallbladder I told them “Instead of getting my rocks off, I’m getting my rocks out.” The whole room cracked up both times!

My father had his knee replaced a year ago. It was a long and arduous recovery process, with him basically being bedridden, and my mother and I having to take care of him. Despite that, he still has pain in that knee. In fact, just yesterday, he said it felt like it was getting worse. I know of other people who said that it was the best decision they ever made and they feel better than ever, so I don't know why my father is having such trouble a year in. I think it's probably because he didn't keep up with his exercises, or it's just his body as a whole is failing him due to decades of being a police officer and then a courthouse security guard.
