@zukzilla2144 Жыл бұрын
No it does not
@Salmon_Rush_Die Жыл бұрын
@@zukzilla2144 Okay, your timing belt cover must be in one piece, therefore bolted at other points unseen in the video. Mine is two pieces: upper & lower. those two bolt holes at the top are the only attachment points for the upper timing belt cover. If I were to do one of these camshaft covers, I suppose I'd have to discard the upper timing belt cover. Not sure if that's a great idea.
@zukzilla2144 Жыл бұрын
@Salmon RushDie Never got around to it before selling the car. I was going to use the holes and mounts for the catch can line. Just did not get around to machining the holders. For some reason that is how the aluminium are made. Did not like it when I first seen it. But it works fine very sturdy with the other 7 or so bolts in it.

How has this held up? Been searching for a solid pcv delete setup, this looks pretty sweet. Any idling issues? Oil in the IC piping? Oil consumption?
@zukzilla21443 жыл бұрын
It works great only problem I have found was when it is below zero the line freezes up and you get pressure building up blowing by the valve cover gasket getting oil everywhere. Fixed it by just by bypassing the catch can and running from the tee to the turbo straight in the winter. Even with that it still uses almost no oil. It was one the the best mods. Went from 1qt or more every tank of gas. To never having to top it off between 5k oil changes. Was just about to the add 1qt line. Should mean no oil in the IC. Runs solid.
@jamiebenzeleski28892 жыл бұрын
So I’ve done this upgrade but with a different valve cover. I went with RMTG and it came with 2 outlets for an fittings on the top. You used a T fitting for both hoses and the N80 hose that you tapped into the center of the T fitting. Does it matter which hose I connect it to? Should I tap it into the hose that goes to the block under the intake manifold? Or tap into the hose that connects the oil catch can and valve cover?
@zukzilla21442 жыл бұрын
The N80 hose can be ran right to the little port on the turbo as well. I just wanted as much factory as possible. As long as it is on the catch can side should not be a concern what hose you tap it into. Just don't want fuel vaper going into the engine. Mine is under vacuum where it is at.
@jamiebenzeleski28892 жыл бұрын
Okay thank you. That’s what I was going to do. I’m gonna keep it connected to the fitting that goes to the catch can. And I also made an extra hose for when winter comes I can ditch the catch can and just go from VC to the turbo.

@@jamiebenzeleski2889 I just have a line going from the turbo to the tee. I don't even bother the catch can. I have not seen a drop of oil in the line going to the turbo. Was tired of the line freezing in the winter. Just never went back.

@@zukzilla2144 thank you for the reply .I have one other question. If I'm doing this set up with a bullet valve cover. I have an after market big turbo with no lines for the rear pcv and the other skinny line for the turbo running to it. As far as the catch can set up what's the best way for me to run it. Should I just do a block off plate with three ports the two front ports to the catch can as normal and then third third port from the engine block to the the block off plate? Or should I tee all three ports to the catch can?
@zukzilla21443 жыл бұрын
So just to clear things up. There are three lines coming from the engine that need to go into the catch can. The billet valvecover, the lower crankcase and the evap for fuel vapers(little one you see me hook up to the brass fitting). I have all three going into 1 tee. Goes into the catch can. Then to the suction side of the turbo. One could take all three lines into a catch can then out to the turbo. Just this setup was the cleanest I could come up with. When I go big turbo I would just need to put a -10 fitting on the inlet side of the turbo.
