Great video, you may add some info for the World Record which was set at 1987 World Championship in Rome (Italy) after dramatic battle with Tamara Bykova. She wins the World Title with 206sm and had 3 attempts for the World Record. Hers first attempt at 209sm coincided with Ben Jonson's World Record of 100m and was foul. Seconds after the audience stop applausing Ben Jonson she made her second attempt and it was successful - new world record and the audience is once again on their feet. ;)

brilliant! Slesarenko's 2.06m clearance in Athens is HUGE!!! that was surely 2.07-2.08 worth! surprised nobody has Andonova's 2.07 WR from 1984..

I have always thought that, easily that height and probably more, it has been estimated to have actually been a 2.09. Kostadinova at 2.09 was apparently calculated to be at 2.14 when she passed over it with daylight to spare.

A real strange journey. People jumping 2,02 m in Sydney 2000 as it was some amazing jump when Kostadinova jumped 2,09 in Rome in 1987 hehehehe
