I played some snooker players in billiards in the Philippines. I really liked their pool cue as it was different. It has more tapper on the end and is smaller. We came out about even as he was very good. Snooker pockets are smaller than in billiards. I used his stick to try it out. I loved the way one can control. which was better than my stick for English. I seemed to be able to place the cue where I wanted. I was able to play in Makita later at Reyes Pool Hall. I lost 2 of 3 by a student!!! He was more consistent as is Reyes!

So his stats got confused with Alex Pagulayan's? Does that happen often with the series of World Pool Masters? I was like "2005 US Open Champion" that's Alex, then noticed the filipino flag. Wow lol.

Wu's accomplishments stats are wrong lol. They have Alex Pagualyan's up instead. Wu has never won the US Open. He won the 2005 World 9 and 8 ball championships.

@Descente36 I don't agree with you. Run-outs are not always guaranteed with a ball on the break. You still have to control the cueball and get a shot on the first ball. You still have to contend with the possibility of clusters or balls that have no pocket. Pros are not gonna run out every time. Some of them still get out of line or miss a shot. If pros ran out 90% of the time, then all "winner breaks" matches would be decided quickly.

Drago's positional play is fairly weak, especially in this game. His shot making on the other hand is very strong, typical snooker player.

why does it feel like i've seen this before.

I don't always agree with the alternate break/short race format. The players tighten up and play like they can't make one mistake. In winner break format, if one player runs a 6 pack, well then too bad for the other guy, that's part of the game. The nature/integrity of the game shouldn't be compromised just so neophytes can see both players play.

every time i watch drago its the same thing....running around the table playing so fast he cant control it, then cries when something goes wrong. thats why he is near the bottom of the pool and snooker world. yea he plays good but if he slowed down and not try to act like his shit dont stink he might make a great player........nahhh doubt it!

do you know how easy it is for pros to run the table? If a pro can make a ball on the break, 90% of the time he will run the rack, which means 90% of the time the first one breaking will be the winner-how does that seem like a good idea to you?

Are you kidding me. A great match like this one between two great players with a race to 8 and it's alternate 9-ball. A tragedy and disappointing. The person(s) who believe traditional 9-ball is unfair to the player who sits while watching the opponent run 5 racks has a small mind. That's the point because on the sixth rack the other player has the chance to show his or her skill by running 5 racks. The ability to run racks is not only skillful, it's exciting to watch and real pool that is remembered. One player can be behind say 2 to 7 and still have a great chance to win with traditional 9-ball (winner break), but with alternate 9-ball there's almost no chance to win when you get behind. That's what is unfair and how boring it is to KNOW one player will never win.

A race to 8 with alternate breaks. Your kidding, right? It will be a long match with no one running more than 2 racks and about as interesting to watch as a bowling match between two pro-bowlers playing alternate frames where no bowler can get even a double. I wouldn't watch this particular match if there were any normal 9-ball games to watch, but it's all alternate 9-ball now. The world of 9-ball has changed. Maybe it's because there are so many seniors now too old for the excitement of traditional 9-ball like, for instance, the game between Rodney Morris and Danny Harriman in a race to 11. Danny had Rodney 10 to 4. Then Rodney runs 6 racks making it 10 to 10. Wow! How exciting was that? Probably too much for seniors and that's why it's mostly alternate 9-ball now, too many seniors. I can see no other good reason. I remember those exciting 9-ball runs, but I've yet to remember one single alternate break 9-ball match. Alternate 9-ball focuses on the misses made rather than the good shooting of a player like in this match the focus on why Wu won was the 2 or 3 misses Tony made. Alternate 9-ball is just inferior pool anyway one looks at it. It's also unfair because Tony had no chance to catch up once he got behind. You can go on and on.

there´s not player who can run out the table %90 of the times xD.. the best players like Bustamante, Strickland or Reyes can only make it %60 of the times they break
