I think the story of this album is so cohesive and beautiful, well-structured. Bad guy is the introduction to this dangerous guy our billie is close to, with xanny being the moment where she avoids following in his bad habits. However, you should see me in a crown is the moment she falls in love with him, and tries to win him over, with all the the good girls go to hell and wish you were gay being the moment she gets rejected and becomes jealous. Both 8 and My strange Addiction are her developing bad and dangerous habits after being rejected , with 8 being a throwback to her childhood and how far she’s fallen from her innocent side she once had. Bury a friend is the peak of all that abuse where the title of the album fits perfectly. Ilomilo is the moment of her emotional awareness, as she knows he is never going to love her. Listen before I go and I love you are either the last moments of her life as she reminisces over what could’ve been, or her acceptance of this guy not being into her. Goodbye is the final chapter, where ideas presented in all the other tracks are put to rest and she finally moves on, or it could be the song that plays as she jumps off the roof presented in Listen before I go. And as seen in ‘My Strange Addiction’, she uses a scene from the office in which he makes his own movie. Realistically, she’s created a movie. A soundtrack to the movie, all of it . And if I’m right, she will be releasing a music video every day after her album release to present the story she’s built. In conclusion, I’m crying because it’s that good and yeah I’m in love with billie fucking eilish

Ilomilo is about the fear of separation. It is based on a game. Billie said"I used to play ilomilo a lot. I loved ilomilo, that was like my favourite game in the world. It's this game where it's these two little creatures - one is named ilo and the other's named milo. It's this sort of anti-gravity world where there's all these little blocks and they start apart from each other. The idea is you just get to each other and when they get to each other they just hug, there's no prize. So the whole idea of the game is just losing the person you love and then finding them again." In other words, the meaning of 'ilomilo' the song is literally the concept of 'ilomilo' the game and it's just two names put together. The track is so clever too because if you listen to it, you can hear that the sound effects in 'ilomilo' the game have really inspired the production. Name pronounced: "ee-low-mee-low".

*The whole album is about her sleep paralysis and nightmares.* Believe it or not, 'Bad guy' was edited by Billie and she did it on her mom's pc in iMovie. In 'My strange addiction' the talks are from 'Office'. 'Ilomilo' is an Xbox game. The last three songs are make a sentence: Listen before I go, I love you, goodbye. 'Listen before I go' is about suicide. 'I love you' is like 'Halleluja'. '8' is like a duet with her 8 year old self and the 17 year old self. In 'Goodbye' there is 1 sentece of all the tracks from the last to the first. The saddest song on the album are '8' and 'Listen before I go' (I think). Her fav song from the album is 'bury a friend'.
