Most interviewers are this way. It's difficult for them to ve themselves. They are performing and usually it comes across terribly to ppl looking for something more genuine. I think its why podcasts are so great, the long form tires out any performance.

@Ma Pa Not to be too pop culture but Kevin Smith is incredible at interviews on his podcasts ie SModcast ( the one with Russell Brand) & SMinterview, even old Fatman on Batmans, the one with Grant Morrison comes to mind. Even when interviewing ppl from his town in Highlands: A people history (or something like that). He is conversational, genuine and gets as much as he gives. Strangely on camera he does slip into performance kev. The pods are brilliant, though. Cool. I will check out the dude you mentioned.
