Billie has been very open and honest about having depression after her dancing career ended. She also deals with tourette's and synesthesia. This was her brother, Finneas, in the video with her. He has his own album out and is an actor. Very talented family. I commented on your last video about what you should do next. You've literally just dipped your toe into the Billie Eilish pool. I have not heard a song I do not like. An EP and full album. And all the singles, she has a lot of songs. If you really wanna head down the rabbit hole, listen to the EP - Dont smile at me...then listen to her album "when we fall asleep, where do we go" in full without skipping any tracks. It's like you stepped into a different world for 90 minutes. She doesnt realize she has shook the world with her music. Amazing work by her and her brother. Simply amazing.

Billie has definitely experienced depression. Her song idontwannabeyouanymore is all about looking in the mirror and hating what you see and its directly from her brain to paper (she does an interview/a capella rendition, think it's a genius video, absolutely amazing and you should check it out). Billie and Finneas have brought a lot of attention to mental health through her music.

The good thing about it is drugs is the last that thing Billie will ever do. She has lost a lot of friends due to drugs. She is happy now because of the great support from her family.

In most dreams I feel when you get killed you wake up but this one dream I had this man kept trying to kill me and no matter what I did he wouldn't stop. If I chopped off the hand with the knife he would just give me a taunting smile and it be back. Nobody helped me. They all just acted like nothing was happening. I would die and then instead of it being over, I would feel myself move to another body and I could see myself dead with the man over me. I would be in another body and then the man would look at me with this wicked smile and come after me again. It would happen over and over again. And I couldn't even escape him through dying. No break. No help. It was like I didn't exist to anyone else. Just constant struggle and hopelessness. Pretty crazy

She wrote this when she was very depressed she would dream about killing herself a lot and actually did try and do it her mom stopped her took her to therapy she self harmed. Her biggest fear is water so during this mv she actually was in water it was really hard for her and she started crying but she was with her brother so she got over it and was able to do it. But the music video her and her brother are actually going to kill themselves by drowning they smile at each other as they are going down because they are happy in the last seconds of their life. Billie is in a good place now she’s happy and she said she has learned to love herself now

It has an amazing message. If I had been braver when I was suicidal at 17 and maybe told my older sister, my older brother... then I would have never damaged my liver. At 36 I was diagnosed with an extremely rare autoimmune disease with no cure, no treatment except a liver transplant when cirrhosis is life-threatening but I will never get that chance because I damaged my liver when I was 17. I basically killed myself, just did it the long way through a lot of pain.

drowning is the second worst way to die, burning to death is actually the worst way to die because your sense of smell would not stop until you actually die, so you'd smell your own burning flesh as you die, whereas with drowning you not only fall unconscious faster, but you also cant smell the water in your nose once its there.

billie was suffering from depression but this past year she’s gotten a lot happier, and now she’s the happiest ever. 2018 she had suicidal thoughts and self harmed. she almost killed herself in berlin about 2 or 3 years ago. but therapy and her brother have helped her get better to the happy place she is now!

Not sure the part where "they don't deserve you" means her fans, but more her detractors. She gets alot of love, but she also gets alot of hate from petty, jealous people. Thank goodness the love she gets far outweighs the hate, but it's always the hate that hits you hardest and makes you dwell on your self worth. She did suffer depression for a while, but I understand she's doing very much better now. She used to be bullied in school, but she's gotten a bit older and is learning slowly how to ignore the haters. :)

Tbh when I attempted, it was in class in front of people. Took a whole bottle and honestly no one cared. One girl even googled overdose in class but didnt act on anything. I went to the hospital later when it got real bad. But when I came back, no one cared. Not even my family. They were more upset at the inconvenience if anything. I learned then that I couldnt go through that again. And that I could only lean on myself.

This song was written after she had a dream about committing suicide by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, the chorus where she says as long as I'm here nobody will hurt you is what her brother said to her when she told him. What she wanted was to die, that's why she said it might have been a nightmare to anyone who might care.

Suicidal thoughts man. Talk about relatable issues. I mean to anyone who's already struggling with depression would understand this more. To live upto expectations in return feeling the amount of pressure. All the bullshit Billie gets that she never asked for or created if we can start there.
