I really relate the part about sometimes you don’t really feel like a woman or don’t feel part of that makes me feel like no more alone
@virgochic81 Жыл бұрын
But instead of her saying its ok to be different, like she used to, she's telling you to just look like them and act like them, THEN you'll feel like a woman. That's so ridiculous and untrue. She's also telling you that since you feel like that, that's your "internalized misogyny". Stop idolizing her, she's no longer worth it. She helped my daughter when she was going through the same thing, but now, she doesn't even recognize her. Also, you don't hype up other women just because they're women. We're not perfect and make mistakes all the time! Your gender doesn't define who you are. You also shouldn't put a group of others down just to hype up another group of people. We're only creating hate and division doing this. Which is what they want. Our govt has been successful by creating wars against genders, races, and sexuality. Does that sound like a good thing?
@_kill_bill_ Жыл бұрын
@@virgochic81 you stay writing think pieces in the comments lol. Where did she say that it's wrong to be different and that you NEED to do certain things to feel like a woman??? She said her internalized misogyny stemmed from her labeling herself "not like other girls". Maybe you're old af and don't know but a lot of media pushed the narrative that liking "typical girly things" was wrong and that guys will always go for the girl that "stands out" like the tomboy or the nerdy girl. many women grew up thinking they had to separate themselves from and put down other women who are into "feminine things". When you realize this issue within yourself, as Billie explained, you start to see the beauty in the things women are shamed for.
@hoy68290 Жыл бұрын
@@virgochic81 let this girl live my god 😂 she is stil young and a human not a machine… she is only 21 and she is still growing up finding herself … and LEARNING … she is not in her 40s , you are a mother and you can’t even have empathy for a young woman who is struggling and she has problems to learn more about herself .. this is why we love her bc we know she is not perfect, but we all are not perfect, we all make mistakes every day and she is no different from us, and she is still learning about it with also a therapist behind her … she was abused from men since she was 14 !!!! …. just check the news of these days from TMZ about Billie …. She signed the 6th restraining order (of this year) she has had against a OLD MAN, who is obsessed (in love) with her, has threatened to kill her brother and her family, others have entered her house this year (she was there she saw a man in her house) and also her parents Etc.. … she is risking her, her family and friends life every day …bc of men… you should try to live with this constant fear, anxiety and terror with the paranoia that something could happen at any moment to you and your family… … if women speak like this and they are toxic against each other for their bodies Etc and women have problems like this with themselves is thanks to the patriarchal culture … it’s bc of MEN…. So I really don’t care if she said something against them… I DON’T CARE … ENOUGH .. bc what male in that industry are suffering is not even 1/10 of what female artists are suffering …. Not even close …. And after so many years of problems bc of them.. we stil can’t even go outside , take a train/plane without being afraid every time that a man could rape and kill us…. We can’t do shit alone … this is still the result of a pure toxic mental manipulation from this patriarchal society and culture … and I have ENOUGH too 🤷🏻♀️ and I'll tell you more only 3-10% of the world's prisoners are women and only a % for acts of violence which are often used to defend themselves or as a consequence of the abuse of men. scientifically and legally men are the problem of violence and war of the world.. men are the problem first, and again the culture that led women also to competing with each other for their bodies Etc HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH THEMSELVES .. (same for men too) is thanks to them 😅 again… they are the problem for us and even with themselves, NOT women like Billie . And she is learning and understanding this real problem more than you did in your entire life …. You should study more psychology, history, and law .. about this … not judging young women like Billie! What a selfish mother you are 🤦🏻♀️
@hoy68290 Жыл бұрын
@@virgochic81 and one more thing you still haven't understood from Billie and that she is not teaching anyone, she doesn't want and isn't interested in being the role model for anyone, she already said this …. Many times… people shouldn’t be so fanatic and obsessed with celebrities lol their life are not movies 😅 their life is a real human life and is full of serious problems and mistakes just like yours … and this should be normal.. you should respect THAT of celebrities, they shouldn’t be always perfect and fake just bc they have to teach you to live? 😅 you should learn to live on your own , and by yourself .. not thanks to them? They are not your daughter parents😂 that is YOUR JOB .. this is so toxic and wrong … she is just living her life and making her art from what she has inside about her personal experience , and it is from this vulnerability of not conforming to being perfect that your daughter should learn, not what she does and chooses for HERSELF, but she should learn from her to always be herself in life, not be afraid of making mistakes and always finding the strength to get up, billie has had depression since she was 13, and those who have depression will have it forever, she also has low self-esteem, she never feels up to her victories and successes, and she shows us all that we are all the same, we all have problems and we are all trying to face them together because this is life, Billie is just an anchor in this society that makes us feel alone and drown every day in our daily battles.. you are a mother but you still have to learn things in your life. your lack of empathy and your superficiality and desire to judge everything and everyone and to always see mistakes as a flaw (when they are normal for everyone and part of the teaching of life).. is what makes this society disgusting.

Porque, assim como as suas falas e jeito de nos fazer rir é algo espontâneo, o jeito que me fez te amar foi algo imediato, alguém que pela primeira vez me fez perceber que eu senti e sinto meus sentimentos mais sinceros. I am really gratefully that Billie was so transparent about the whole internalized misogyny thing because as a woman, I went through a period like that too. Like rejecting femininity and feminine things because it was made out to be wrong, dramatic, or just uncool? There might even be times where I find myself being misogynistic even now, but thankfully, I can recognize it as such now and basically check myself. I don't really hear many other people talk about this, so this is really impactful.
