This really relates to me and my mom. I feel so happy away from her and I wish it wasn't like this but she's so toxic; I hate certains words and phrases just because of her, I have attachment avoidant issues, anxiety, and so much more only because of her. And the worst part is you try to explain to them that they are toxic and don't understand where the line is, and they deny any wrong doing. They never apologize and they never see what's wrong so they keep doing it. It's a house of hell. I already have the worst depression of my life. But any way. You're not alone my friend! You need to express your feelings if not you'll explode. But don't do it behind her back, tell her in person how she makes you feel. For me it was this guy I used to be friends with and I knew he had a kinda abusive dad (at least to his mom, not sure if he hit him though, but his whole family was very aggressive and his uncle once threatened to break his nose which I'll talk about later) but I think his dad being a kinda not good guy affected him unfortunately and as he got older it went from us laughing and him carrying me around to him trying to fight me and wrestle me and hitting my little brothers and whenever I put any effort into how I looked he'd say I was trying too hard. At one point he even punched my friend in the face (girl, only a few days younger than me and I think we were 11 at the time) and his uncle said that if he really did hit a girl in the face he was either going to have to have a serious talk with him OR break his nose... so basically even though he was pretty shitty to me I wasn't about to sit by and watch his uncle break his nose so I asked that he chose the former rather than the latter. But anyways the point is that I knew this kid since I was 7 and had a big crush on him till I was 9 but it ended when he was 11 and I was 9 or 10 and he totally switched everything up and became mildly abusive... the first guy I ever liked was kinda abusive so yayyy gotta love it 😃
