singing this at 5am, laying on my back on my bed with all the lights off in my room was weirdly therapeutic... and yeh i almost cried i mean i teared up but that’s just cause i feeling the emotions in the moment. this song in general is very therapeutic to me and it’s something that i can kind of relate to in a way since i’ve struggled with a lot of depression and i’ve had my fair share of suicidal thoughts and attempts. this song is really helping me stick around longer, as well as my boyfriends (us three are in a poly don’t worry because it’s consensual :) haha), less my family but my mother definitely plays some sort of role. billies music really helps me through all this stuff... i know a lot of people hate on it and reference the subreddit r/im14andthisisdeep, but guess what... i _am_ 14 but i’m not sure how deep this is lol- in fact, that subreddit as a whole makes me feel bad for being who i am and actually listening to billies music and stuff... it especially makes me feel ashamed of being 14 and depressed. ugh i’m rambling i’m so sorry nobody’s gonna read through all this shit anyway sorry.. (ps. can’t wait to turn 15 in june, lol.) EDIT over a year later: I'm doing so much better now! I'm in such a better place compared to where I was then and I've actually been quite happy. I still listen to Billie and enjoy her music a lot, it still helps me through some of those dark patches. the depression never goes away, but I haven't been anywhere near as suicidal, which is awesome. I wish everybody else here, especially those in the replies a good life. I'm sending my love and hoping those of you who are feeling as down as I was then are able to get to a point in which you feel good again, even if it's just feeling okay, it's still a lot better than how we felt then, right? progress is progress no matter how small it may seem to you. 💜💜💜

Coming back to this song after years and realizing I don’t feel this pain anymore is just a mix of feelings I wasn’t prepare for. I didn’t remember how lost and lonely I used to feel… I’ll like to hold my old self and tell her that I’ll be ok that I’ll take time but life will get better and that now I’m happy and hopeful that everything that she had to go through was worth it. i used to listen to this song and wonder why it made me feel so empty deep down and now i know it’s because i had high functioning depression for so long and i just suppressed it and even now i get this deep feeling in my gut that death seemed like the only escape. now that im getting healthier mentally i feel so sick thinking about how i used to hurt myself. im beautiful and im good and i left scars on my skin ive sat on the sidewalk looking at cars and waiting for when i should just run into traffic ive seen trains coming and wondered how easy it would be. but im so grateful that now im able to see how much pain i was in and that i should never die i should’ve never had that bix with all the things i could use to hurt myself im so sorry neo i love you im so sorry i filled your head with those thoughts and you had to seek comfort from others because i wasnt here to give you the love you needed inside. i love you now and im gonna do everything i can to make you feel warm and loved in yourself because you deserve it. i love you neo.

This song means a lot to me. The person is basically singing that he/she is going to do suicide. I am just so glad that I didn't do it, I must be honest, I was close to doing it but I didn't. Can I just say I'm very proud of that? I can sing this song but it's hard not to cry and think of what would have happened if I wouldn't have been here anymore. It's scary to think about it and sometimes I still struggle and have thoughts about it. But I know that there are too many people who care about me and I don't want to hurt them. And I have too much left to fight for so I keep going although it's hard. The fact that I'm still here is all because of my friends and parents. The ''call my friends and tell them that I love them, and I'll miss them, but I'm not sorry'' part really hurts me, because it's what I would've said if I left this world.
