Yess I agree she’s matured and become more comfortable with who she is. This is definitely the start of a new era for her. I can’t wait for her album in July 😭

I completely agree, because her ex was 22 whilst she was 16. definitely was a unhealthy one sided relationship, i’m so glad billie knows her worth!

@Brian Smith Jr. we’re not talking about currently, hence the “whilst she was” 😚

@Brian Smith Jr. she literally has said & showed it in her documentary. nobody’s in her business just stating her new confidence, plus it was put out there for us to see.

@Brian Smith Jr. are you doing okay, do you need a hug today? you seem very upset & tense for no reason whatsoever. not completely sure who was harassing or bullying billie.. in fact, you’re the only person trying to harass or bully anyone. ;)

I actually think the transformation is one where she is LESS self-conscious about how other people perceive her. She's relinquishing feelings of responsibility for how people see her and want her to be as well as those same expectations for the persona she maintained for most of her teens. She's still the Billie from before and she dresses similarly for the most part, but now she's also teasing that she does have autonomy in her body and isn't afraid of it being weaponized against her anymore. She's still the same thought-provoking and emotionally intelligent person as before but with a matured perspective where she can allow her "feminine" "sexuality" to come out to play. She doesn't feel like she has to stay a static character anymore but now feels she can be dynamic. She said before in interviews that she felt like she was parodying herself. Like all personas, who she was to the public was necessarily limited and she always had to bring those elements to the table whenever she went out in public or created something. Now she mixes it up. You can see in the video the variety of outfits she wears with their varying levels of "modesty" and flirtatiousness. She is also surrounded by friends in a comfortable home setting without the male gaze polluting their comfort and sacred feminine space. They're laughing at how silly and irrelevant toxic men (who don't appreciate her "flowers"-- literal or metaphorical as far as her talents, kindness, and friendship go) and the media can seem when she is in her safety bubble with people who love her, good food, games, and lots of laughs. A theory: I think her hair is blonde now not because she won't dye her hair again in cool colors as a growing adult, but partially because her natural hair is blonde and she's entering a new infancy-- a new slate where she's trying to get to know herself and isn't afraid of the public view anymore (much as is the un-self-conscious way a small child goes about discovering the world). It also matches her theme of sandy colors/landscapes and neutral and soft pastels. Anyway, I love her. I worry a lot of people think she's entering an unhealthy trajectory (much like Miley did) and they wish she would stay the same as before, but I think her change is a beautiful, soft one where she is being more forgiving of herself--unfurling her wings from the constrictive chrysalis of depression and anxiety she'd remained in for years. She's not going to be without difficulty, but I think now for maybe the first time, she actually believes she will be okay. I think that was one message she hoped to portray with the video. thank you for reading, if you did, haha

I mean she also was like super underage lol but I genuinely think she’s just maturing and growing up. And I think she has full control of her body no one else, especially after reading her vogue article

Maybe it is because I am german and english is not my first language, but I see SATIRE in this video. The TEXT is about someone with no depth and without a course in life an a very superficial mindset - and that is exactly what she is showing in the VIDEO here, some superficial fun, no "big" thougths behind it, some of it seems childish and foolish - just like the person she is talking about... And focusing on how she is presenting her body in a more feminin way - that is very superficial too and not worth more than the note: that's different, may it have to do with the message?

I think sometimes people take her videos literally. Sometimes artists just want to tell a story. Doesn't mean they went through the actual thing. Johnny Cash was never in Folsom Prison and never shot a man in Reno but he made a classic country song.
