Use your diaphragm (that muscle under your lungs) to support your breath. Use proper singing technique. Anybody can sing. The funny thing is that I had heard about Billie from my grandkids... they all love her but I thought her and her brother's genre of music wouldn't be something I'd be able to get into. But my granddaughter made me listen to Ocean eyes, Bad Guy, and Six Feet Under, and from that moment I've been hooked on her beautiful voice and their incredible talent for writing and producing music. The videos they make are a vision of what beautiful art really is. At 60 years old I'm finding that I can fall in love with a piece of music just as easily as I did when I was a teenager. I listen and have listened to many artists over the years and really love their work and can listen to them every day... but there is something special about Billie and Finneas. Maybe it's their closeness and love and respect for each other's creativity that makes the magic. I can't seem to stop listening to her songs now. There isn't one single song she sings I don't love... it's rare for me to like every song on an LP. One song I enjoy listening to in particular is "When I Was Older". I get it. Ignorant people who don't understand the messages behind the music and judge her unfairly really need to listen again.
