Actually, everything she has recorded so far was written, recorded, and produced in her brother’s small bedroom “studio” in their childhood home. No team of writers, no fancy studios, just her and her brother in his bedroom. It’s mind blowing. Also, they refuse to use any pitch correction on her voice. They said they did it once on one song, and hated it, so they won’t do it again. Instead, they layer her vocals. But this is why when you hear her sing live it sounds almost exactly like the recorded versions. She recorded this at 13, then her family scraped up some money for this low budget video as a birthday gift. The video was made the day after her 14th birthday. I hope to see more Billie reactions.

Jen B Her brother has recently moved out to his own place with his girlfriend, but yes, Billie stills lives in that small home with her parents. Fun fact: the house has two bedrooms, so their parents gave Billie her room and Finneas his room. Their parents have always slept on a futon in the living room so the kids could have their own space.

her brother wrote this song and knew it fit her voice better, so they recorded it in his bedroom studio (where everything up to everything I wanted was recorded) Finneas (her brother) produces all of billie's music and they mostly collaborate on the lyrics, and she does everything visual herself. She's a fully self made artist and it's amazing. Finneas now has a small studio set up at his house, which is probably where they're recording now as well as on the road, where they recorded everything I wanted. ps: billie and finneas have been out on the streets in LA the last weeks
