Ruth A i guess it is partly a matter of opinion but i have listened to Billie’s songs and to me it is alternate pop. There is no rock in her music. A band like tool that i mentioned before also can’t really be put in a genre. They are their own type of music but what I and everyone else i have heard talk about tool, they all say it is alternative rock. Just like how i and most people think Billie is alternate pop. Aside from all that even you said she is her own type of music so why would she win the alternate rock award?
